I remember many people reported the Jeff Horn robbery over Pacquiao to the Queensland Police but nothing happened. But then again I believe the Queensland government was in on the robbery.
Wow. Talk about an overreaction. I thought it was just the numbnuts on this site that screamed "robbery" for every close fight.
The people making an issue out of this ridiculously close fight are sick in the head and need help. It's like they've never seen a close hard to score boxing match before. They want to see some sketchy decisions, then check out Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Carlos Castano, Tony Harrison vs. Bryant Perrella, Oscar Valdez vs. Robson Conceicao, Pedro Taduran vs. Rene Mark Cuarto, David Adeleye vs. Kamil Sokolowski, Campbell Hatton vs. Sonni Martinez and Gabriel Maestre vs Mykal Fox. All of those matches were far more egregious than Taylor-Catterall was, yet received only 1/10th of the hyperbolic pearl clutching blowback. Somehow, deep down, I think there's more to this from the UK fans than meets the eye. All of the unhinged people fervently *****ing about this result need to get a grip.
Taylor is Scottish and Catterall is British, and Catterall lost the match in Glasgow. That is all. I guess all of those mind numbingly egregious cards turned in when an away fighter gets robbed blind by the Brits, along with the countless shocking British stoppages are A-okay. Yet somehow this ugly ass unpleasant hard to score ****ing definition of a close match... is Oh My God!!!!! It's The End Of The World worthy.
Waste of time. A week has passed and it all gets forgotten. Taylor and Bellend Ben pick up their fighter and trainer of the year awards and move on. Unfortunately for Jack in the end, nobody gives a ****. Its harsh but true. He will be a long list of fighters who are in 'I got robbed; category. Then all moves on until the next daylight robbery. Then uproar for a few days and then the dust settles, people go back to work and don't give a **** about the fighter who got shafted, Police? Do me a favour.
But it is a very significant robbery, Campbell Hatton fought a E level boxer who only got paid to be there. Catterall worked his socks of his entire life for this moment and it was cruelly taken away from him
about time. These decisions are literally criminal. Put Ian 'The Wefewee' John-Lewis on the stand and have him watch each round and explain his scoring. Eugenia Williams had the perfect defense for Lewis-Holyfield; the ringside reporters blocked her view of the fighters so she just guessed who won the rounds .
British Judging and British Stoppages have always been a laughing stock, especially lately given how easy it is to watch films. They've never been A OK. But this miscarriage of justice was in the main event of a huge domestic fight, which is exactly why its received so much coverage. The same way Groves and Froch had such a backlash after the first fight. The problem with this fight is, to have Taylor winning the fight you have to find 7 rounds for him, which is impossible.
