Katie Taylor v Persoon, now that was a real robbery, where was all the drama about that?

Yeah, it's just crazy to watch all this ridiculous outrage. Modern boxing fans cry "robbery" anytime they disagree with a close decision. Go watch James Toney-Dave Tiberi if you want to see a real robbery!!!

Get back to the Lounge? So, I'm assuming you don't visit these boards all that much? I've been a staple in the General Forum for damn near a decade. My 188,450 posts didn't just appear overnight, the lion's share of them coming before December 2018, when The Lounge reappeared. So don't get it twisted, when Covid hit, many people took refuge there, and clearly the sport hasn't bounced back the way it should since. But still... based on my RBR's alone, I rack up roughly 100-200 posts a week in the General. So, I have no idea what you're talking about.

My taste in film is exquisite, because my palate is so broad. You're clearly a narrow minded uncultured philistine, and are simply incapable of processing film the way you should. So it doesn't shock me that many films, like the nuances one picks up on when scoring fights, are above your pay grade and go violently sailing over your head.:nusenuse:

Yet you've seen the match once, and I've seen it thrice. You refuse to reassess and scrutinize your scorecard, yet I was more than willing to reassess and scrutinize mine. You're a stubborn absolutist, who once your narrative is set, you refuse to budge from it. Which does hamper your judgement. Because it seems as if you're incapable of adjusting or even willing to open yourself up to the possibility that you may have been wrong. I saw pathways to victory for both Taylor and Catterall the first, second and third time I saw it, and I've never said someone scoring it for Catterall or Taylor was wrong. Because it's simply one of those type of fights. The fact that you can't.. to the point of saying it's impossible, says a hell of a lot more about you than it does me. This was not even remotely close to a robbery. Grow up.

Exactly... this is starting to seem like Fake News to me. Almost as if this is a manufactured crisis. I've never seen so much feigned and forced outrage. But if it's genuine, these people are making genuine asses out of themselves.

I've already told you, there's other fights I'm more interested in watching than this one again. But your use of language such as refuse, absolutist, narrative does say an awful lot about you and the message you're trying to portray.

I merely watched a fight, saw an atrocious decision get rendered and voiced my own opinions about it. The reason you're so out of joint with this one is because everyone sees it differently to you. Which is probably why you've already watched the fight 3 times. Yet you still pretend the decision itself was correct.

We're all growing up, one day at a time.

Yes, obviously. Still, there's resentments and an omnipresent distrust and rivalry between the two countries.

If it means so little to you, that you can't even bring yourself to watch again. How about.... shut the **** up about it? Clearly it means a lot to you, which is why you can't tear yourself away from the discussion. I couldn't care less, and I full believe in my card. I merely poked my head into the thread to state the obvious. You're all being quite the embellishing bellyaching bull**** artists over this non-controversy.

I'll watch it again at some point, but not right now because someone is hurt that their card is in the minority.

The fight is big news over here, which is why I shared the link, people are still talking about it now. About the miscarriage of justice poor Jack received after working his way towards this once in a lifetime opportunity.

What's even worse than your scorecard, is that you refuse to see the controversy right in front of you. Almost everyone scored the fight for Catterall, including those on here who actually have a good reputation for scoring fights, and who actually produce cards which represent the fight.

I respect your hustle and enjoy reading your scorecards. In my opinion you do put up some Ian John Lewis level cards but I still appreciate them.

    Having watched it again
I still see it similar to when watching live
    I scored rounds 2, 5, 7, 9, 10 to Taylor but rounds 11 & 12 I felt could go either way

I think Catterall boxed the better and looked the more composed. He looked like he landed the cleaner shots but as said previously, I don't think Catterall really went to rip the titles away (that doesn't mean I didn't score him as the winner but is where I can see some debate)

    I scored

    R1 Catterall
    R2 Taylor
    R3 Catterall
    R4 Catterall
    R5 Taylor
    R6 Catterall
    R7 Taylor
    R8 Catterall. (10 - 8 round for Catterall)
    R9 Taylor
    R10 Taylor. (-1 for Catterall)
R11 could argue either way (-1 for Taylor)
    R12. could argue either way

    I wouldn't see a problem with anyone scoring rounds 11 & 12 either way.
I did score those rounds to Catterall but think they were debatable.
If someone scored the first 10 rounds the same as I did and 11 & 12 to Taylor, they would have it as a draw

I haven't even seen the fight. I didn't get the impression when I skimmed the comments that it wasn't justifiably arguable though. Very interesting.
