About 2 million http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...bc-peyton-manning-boxing-cbs-fox-nbc/1774825/ Boxing does OK. Boxing, on CBS for the first time in 15 years, drew a respectable 1.3 overnight Saturday -- and retained 90% of the audience from a Butler-Purdue basketball game that was its lead-in.
not bad for just 1 fight with a guy most americans havent heard of hopefully this wasnt just because its new and ppl were curious, hopefully a new audience emerges and stays consistent
I think them maintaining 90 percent of the basketball game is a big accomplishment.Regardless they got a good fight with a good backstory on LSC.
According to Steve Kim of MaxBoxing, the 1.3 rating is a bigger rating than anything HBO or Showtime televised this year (boxing wise). That's pretty impressive.
fine, but CBS is free unlike HBO & Showtime. maybe next time, if there is a next time, they'll show someone heavier than 118
I don't see what the complaints are about. Relatively unknown fighters on CBS with little to no promotion at all and a million people tuning in to watch what turned out to be a solid action-filled card makes me more than satisfied.
