Tapusoa is drifting to his left and flipping out light wrist-snap double jabs from the gut. Lee is dipping and rolling in throwing lead left hooks into Tapusoa's guard. Tapusoa is falling short with his jab as Lee takes short hops outside. Lee comes in pecking with his own jab, then rams into Tapusoa with his left bicep slamming into the chunky flesh of the Samoan's breast. Lee hammers with a right. Tapusoa is pushed back across the ring off balance. Tapusoa circles quickly to his left, sidestepping away from the ropes and firing a sneaky uppercut past Lee's gloves.

Round 2

Tapusoa is reaching with high jabs, shot up from a low holster below his left nipple, elbow dropped low and forearm raised awkwardly. Lee is easily countering with body jabs leaning in. BIG counter right hand on the jaw by Lee after maneuvering Tapusoa into the ropes. Tapusoa bounces off them and goes to a knee, shaky. Tapusoa's up. Lee is pecking with jabs, doubling them and pounding home with the cross. Tapusoa's nose is bloodied and he's down again. Up once more. Under a minute left. BIG right hand by Lee. Tapusoa down. Over.

Lee turned pro a week before Monaghan, in May 2010, and is still today bashing up bums like Tapusoa, who's only a part timer in boxing and has more bouts in MMA. :-(

Meanwhile, Seanie, without any corporate backing or sponsorship, has quietly built up a fan base at home in New York, paying his dues gradually stepping up from cans to regional clubfighters to journeymen to gatekeepers and former contenders and earning himself spots on PPV and national TV undercards, the hard way. Lee is so protected, and for all his Subway commercials and profiles in magazines and whatnot is a good 3 years behind Monaghan developmentally...and will not respond to his call-outs, when the match-up couldn't possibly make any more sense for either financially, pitting the country's two most prominent unbeaten Caucasian light heavyweights against each other (meaning it will sell out any midsize venue in either of their homes of NYC or Chicago - or anywhere in the Midwest, for that matter, or anywhere there's a big Irish-American population) to cull the bigger pretender.

Protected little punk. And he gets to have Chris Byrd as his coach?? And Danny Milano? (famed cutman, has worked the corners of Berto, Malignaggi, countless others)

Talk about having everything handed to you..
