    Round 7

Abril is now on the front-foot, missing right hooks from too far out and following with the left cross up top. Hogan is jogging in reverse, able to comfortably reach Abril with long counters downstairs & up. Everything from Hogan, whether leading or countering, straight & in multiples. Abril is now the one chasing and missing as Hogan swerves past him on the carousel, using quick feet and showing good stamina. Abril falling short with the right jab and backed up by a pair of long clubbing rights by Hogan, both partially blocked.

    10-9 Hogan

    68-65 Hogan

Yeah. Funny, had you come in earlier it looked night & day. Abril was in control, frustrating Hogan with his negativity and countering and making him look stupid.

    Guess Abril edged 8th

But these 2 don't belong in the ring together. Hogan is just too big.

    Round 8

Abril is getting swarmed and forced to battle in close. Hogan is missing a lot of punches over Abril's back, threshing with both hands repeatedly in continuous light motions without much snap. Abril eats a left hook while pushing Hogan into a backpedal and manages to respond with a grazing right hook on Hogan's temple. Abril is staying low and shoving his bodyweight into Hogan to drive him away in straight lines, directly in the path of Abril's right hooks on the body.

    10-9 Abril

    77-75 Hogan

...and Kenny Abril is coming off a 2 year layoff. That said, he is putting on a respectable showing tonight in front of his partisan hometown crowd. He may not get the W for them but he's giving their money's worth.

    Round 9

Abril is waving his right jab up at Hogan, sashaying in and then quickly retreating, up on his toes. Hogan is carrying Abril into the ropes and trading body thumps with him. Trading hooks, Abril scores up top with the right while Hogan lands downstairs with the left, their arms colliding and muting the effectiveness of either punch. Abril dives into a low clinch and Hogan clubs him across the back with his right arm.

    10-9 Hogan, extremely close

    87-84 Hogan

    Round 10

Abril is running in place after each sortie, getting the blood flowing to his legs, stalling, thinking out his next move. Hogan is moving in and out throwing underhanded combos on the belt line. Abril is unable to find him with a counter punch and is just loading up hoping for one. Finally a right hand on the button, catching Hogan blundering in and backing him up, but Hogan immediately recovers and is still the one setting the pace. Two-way flurry in the final ten seconds, good action, not much landing crisply.

    10-9 Hogan

    97-93 Hogan

The commentators have a point...if the judges are influenced by the audience's reactions to all of Abril's work throughout... :think
