He caught me and it was badly stopped. That's why I got up quickly, because I immediately recovered. They have seen my fights. They know of my ability, I always get up to win, it happened to me with (Albert) Pagara, with Nonito (Donaire). In all my fights they drop me and I always get up to win, and besides that I was already dominating Isaac Dogboe." "He connected me on me hard [in the second], but in the third and fourth rounds, the fifth round.. I felt that I was dominating him.. he was not as strong, I did not feel him having the same power, I felt that I was going to knock him out because he was already very tired. I was fine, and as the rounds progressed I felt more loose and stronger. "I would really like to get a protest, the referee's performance was bad, he did not ask me if I felt good, I asked him why, 'why are you stop it', I told him I was fine, I said 'I'm good', I'm well, and the truth is I got very angry, it was a moment that filled me with anger because I felt strong enough to continue.
Tony Weeks is a disgrace. Kovalev-Ward was the first fight I've ever seen where a fighter won a TKO by using illegal low blows.
Weeks is way too involved, it's like he's the third fighter in the ring. He's one of my least favorite refs.
He's right, Weeks once again jumped the gun and ****ed up a match that was starting to get more competitive and beginning to go south for Dogdoe, conveniently. That being said, Juarez wasn't dominating anything, he was starting to get into the fight, but that's all.
Well each situation is different, hombre. You dont get to bank on your reputation from past fights, sorry. Each ref in each fight can and should judge the circumstances on the night for themselves in a vacuum. Weeks thought your eyes were glazed over, you wobbled getting up and you looked generally ****ed. So he stopped it. And guess what, that is totally his prerogative. You dont want to give him the latitude to make that decision, then don't get your ass violently dropped. Simple.
Juarez should have launched some low blows to buy some time. Might have been a chance Weeks might have missed seeing those.
I didn't watch the fight but tony weeks is a corrupt and terrible ref... should be forced to retire from the sport lol.
