Above rumor aside, NOTHING yet as far as Braekhus-ing news. (see what I did there?) Seriously, that is pretty disappointing. We've passed the halfway mark of 2015 - nothing scheduled. :-(
She's been keeping herself busily around boxing, just not signing to fight anybody. Here's our girl hobnobbing with GGG... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDe_hwYXIAAYbP4.jpg ...and the Bronze Bomber... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDdE_erVIAA7V9D.jpg ...and WK, in an epic belt-off... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDKsWHzWEAACb5G.jpg Apparently she formed her own company, 1st Lady Promotions, which is a subsidiary of K2. :think
She broke her foot/ankle in her last fight, thats the reason for the long lay off. And now with her own promotion company, and the cooperation with K2, we can maybe assume that she will fight in WK's undercard in the fall?
She's been injured, that's the reason for the layoff. She is planned to return either on Klitschko undercard or as a headliner in Norway.
It's announced that she will be fighting some multiple divisions champ Ramona Kuehne. Does that Kuehne girl have any chance?
Kuehne is very good but no, she has no chance. Braekhus is just like her promoter - simply too dominant and far ahead of the field to find find a challenge.
Braekhus returns 27th February, on Gerry Weber Stadium, Germany. Fights Chris Namus, as Huck-Afolabi co-feature, televised by RTL.
Braekhus will return next Saturday from a fifteen-month ring absence, defending all five of her world title belts against 21-3 Chris Namus of Uruguay. Co-feature to Huck vs. Afolabi IV.
I just want to be responsible for toweling off all her sweat post-match, and then run back to a stall in the locker room so I can wring that sucka out down my throat. :good
IB, please don't mention women's basketball again. I finally had it erased from my memory banks, now I'll have to waste 2 more seconds of my life. #womencantjump
