I'd love Spike to win but still can't see it. If he does I'll be on the ale for weeks

Think CEJ takes care of business fairly easily. Surprised at how people still support Spike after his domestic violence conviction. Has he ever taken responsibility for that? I remember that he denied it at the time despite there being independent eye witnesses.

CEJ beating Spike or Spike hitting his girlfriend?

Here's an article on it by the Irish Examiner

Someone close to the situation told me that his ex partner is very vilatile with a serious drink problem. At the very least there was a pair of them in it, as they say. No major harm was done, the guy doesent drink anymore, and he should be given a chance to get on with his life. No need to be smearing him years later, in fairness.....:blood

Spike shocks the world with a knock out and sets up a tantalising All-Ireland affair with Andy Lee.

CEJ isn't exactly lightning fast, however I still think he will be a bit too quick upper body wise for Spike.

I've seen Spike's last 2 fight's, whilst yes he can punch hard he just doesn't have the speed unfortunately - seems to have quite slow hands, which leads him telegraphing punches at times.

Same issue that he struggled with BJS.

If CEJ decides to stand and trade though and Spike catches him with a really good shot it could be interesting, just think CEJ will be too atheltic for him, and as long as he doesn't get silly and fights smart he should win.

I do like Spike, would quite like to see him do it. Nothing against CEJ either and I expect him to win, although he is vastly overated on here at the moment. Hoping he can continue to improve but seems to have quite slow feet like myself!

I guess Spike is Len's new obsession now that Macklin and Sturm are well and truly yesterdays news. I don't particularly rate either man, but it's a good fight to be made nonetheless, these are the type of fights (Spike, Ryder, Blackwell, etc) Eubank should have taken before fighting BJS. Eubank should be the clear favourite for the fight, but if Spike's power is as what BJS says it is (by far the hardest puncher BJS has faced according to him), then there could be a few interesting moments in the fight.

Now I could ask you to substantiate that with facts or withdraw it please Len.

Sure he has a right to move on with his life as I have a right not to support him or anyone else convicted of domestic violence. I doubt he'll care. I wouldn't consider bringing up someones past smearing their reputation either. He damaged his reputation as soon as he put his hands on her and that's just something he'll have to live with. I'd have more respect for him if he came out and said what he did was wrong and was somehow trying to make amends. If you can show me that - which my comment was originally asking about - then I'd be less inclined to dislike him. Again, I can't imagine he'll be too bothered about what I think, he's still got plenty of people behind him. War CEJ!

I'm unsure why certain fighters get given a pass for this type of behaviour and some don't.

Len's an IRA supporting Nationalist. Provided you swear allegiance to the flag (regardless of how flimsy your claims to Irish nationality are) he'll blindly back you.

Pascal Collins in the corner of Spike will introduce a psychic to spooke Junior just like what happened to his father against Steve Collins all those years ago.

    Good post. Totally agree!

Spike's upper body movement has got better since BJS.
Looking forward to the fight. :bbb
