    I can understand that JuanMa might be having problems making 122 but I know Caballero already told JuanMa that he's ready to fight him at 126 or 122 in JuanMa's hometown in Puerto Rico... Not making weight can't be an excuse for not fighting Caballero since Caba is willing to face JuanMa at higher weight...

    Regarding the expected post-fight confrontation, I've read before the fight that Caballero being an invited ringside guest by TopRank promised to behave accordingly... That expected confrantation is not necessary...

    Caballero saying "JuanMa being exposed by an OLD MAN" has some validity in it... 26 year old JuanMa has major troubles against the 30 year old Mtagwa... When JuanMa fights Caballero, I think JuanMa will be beaten by a much OLDER 33 year old man...:D

    Im guessing Corley, Torres, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Pacman means he is hiding behind Top Rank :lol:

    Corely was a gatekeeper by the time Cotto got to him, Torres was a club fighter from Columbia with a padded record who was actually a late replacement when Cotto fought him, Judah was coming off two losses and a year of inactivity when Cotto fought him, and Quintana is a former sparring partner who has one good win(which was avenged by first round KO) and has done nothing since. Mosley, Margo, and Clottey were all really good comp(Cotto also arguably lost to all 3 them and two of them were fellow Top Rank fighters). Pac is a good oppoenent as well.

    Lmao @ Arguably. Man no offense but shut up. Cotto fights with Mosley and Clottey were close fights but Cotto won it and no media or boxing writers were crying about a robbery. And most fans thought Cotto beat Mosley and Clottey. Clottey could have won the fight if he didn't give away the last 3 rounds.



    One good win? Quintana easily beat Julio. The same Julio who was suppost to be the next Felix Trinidad remember?<<Nobody really gave Quintana a chance but like i said he easily beat Julio. And don't forget when Cotto fought Quintana, it was Cotto first fight at ww.

    No offense, but you don't know ****. Julio was a good win because he was SUPPOSED to be the next Trinidad? That's ridiculous. Julio is completely overrated. His best win was a close decision over Ishe Smith. He also needed a gift split decision to beat Cosme Rivera(a fight in which he was almost knocked out). Let's not forget that he was completely trashed by Kirkland. Getting hyped up by Dan Rafael does not make you a good fighter.

    ^^^You do realize that those fights you mention were at junior middleweight right? lol. <<<Sounds like Julio doesn't fit conferable at that weight but he has no choice cause he can't make 147 pounds anymore. Obviously you don't know ****. To critisized Cotto is freaking stupid.

    WBO junior featherweight champion Juan Manuel ‘Juanma’ Lopez (27-0, 24 KOs) successfully retained his title Saturday night against Rogers Mtagwa (26-13-2, 18 KOs). The focus now shifts to what’s next for Lopez. Lopez commented on his tough defense against Mtagwa and his future. Bob Arum/Top Rank, Lopez’ co-promoter with PR Best Boxing (Ivan & Peter Rivera) mentioned after the fight that Lopez would return to action January 23rd in Puerto Rico in a bout telvised on HBO. Two names mentioned as possibles for Lopez to fight were current WBC featherweight champ Elio Rojas and WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano. As for the Mtagwa fight, Juanma stated, “This was the most difficult and toughest fight of my career. Mtgawa just kept coming and throwing punches. Fighters like Mtgawa some times are the hardest fights because they have nothing to lose and they really bring it to you. I hope to fight the big names like Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez in the future.”

    He fought Rivera at WW and almost got knocked out. He also lost to Quintana at WW. He's an overrated fighter no matter what weight class he's at.
