Caballero wasnt anywhere close to being as good as a peak Rigo.

Easily Rigondeaux. Donaire would also beat him. Córdoba did beat him.

Cordoba is much taller than Rigo and a more natural come forward fighter. We have never seen Rigo as a pure come forward fighter which he would have to be against Caballero.

If Caballero decides not to fight inside and clinches I dont see anyway Rigo wins

Rigondeaux is about as good as it gets for outside and counterpunching batams/jr. feathers. I rate Caballero but he had limits.

Rigo, as much as he could be painful at times to watch, was unbelievably skillful and clever. I think 'Pelechin' would play into Rigo's hands by marching forward and creating a bunch of chances for counters.

Caballero was basically a 118/122 lbs. Paul Williams, no disrespect to either man, but that style of marching forward throwing lots of leather in the hopes of gradually wearing them down tends to fail at the highest levels unless you 1.) have serious power, like Diego Corrales who hit hard enough to back up his volume punching 2.) integrate really clever movement and overall skill like Joe Calzaghe, or 3.) combine that high volume with really sharp combination punching like JCC or Kassim Ouma.

How is he going to fight outside and counter punch with Caballero? The height and length difference is too great.

For rigo to win he has to lead the action and get inside which is completely out of his element.

Also why are people acting like Caballero was like Paul Williams or Diego Corrales?

#1 Caballero was much taller and longer for his division than they were.

#2 He was muuuuuuuuuuch more content to lay on the outside and make it a slow paced jab fest than William's or Corrales were.

Rigo beat Donaire with little issue. He was a very large 118/122 and most would say better than Caballero.

He fought at least two other big guys. Donaire was the best one, and better than Caballero. None gave big issues.

What other big guys? Has there ever been another 6'0 Superbantam? Especially 1 who actually has a good chin, good feet and good power.

Rigo is just not going to be able to stay outside and counter punch against Caballero. He will have to go way out of his element and lead and force the pace.
