Well, no one's mentioned it, but yesterday was the Centenary of the original Fight Of The Century,between James J Jeffries challenger and John Arthur Johnson champion ,and ,the start of the most shameful era of American sports imo.The Quest for a White Hope to take back the coveted Heavyweight Title from the Black man who held it. I wonder what all those bigoted *******s who screamed abuse and racial epiphets at Johnson would say today with the prospect of a Black American winning the Heavyweight title looking more unlikely than ever? Would they be happy the crown is held by a milkskinned Ukranian never mind he is not American? Or, would they be satisfied just to see an American win the title ,whatever his colour?
