Berberich's nickname is "Easy Money", but that seems to carry a cruel irony after this first minute's glimpse of his technique. Peixoto should take him out quickly if he's any kind of prospect. Wild swinging exchanges now, only a matter of time before something lands clean, but Peixoto's look at least somewhat refined. Berberich is like a barroom scuffler...

edit: And there we go, KO1, some nice fast hooks to head and body pinning Berberich in the corner.

Peixoto, now 3-0, is 25 years old but wasted over a year of his prime on the shelf (he fought his sophomore outing in August 2019).

"Tank" Hogan is a 6'2" Boston Irish southpaw, 2-0 both via KO...taking on a veteran of nearly 70 pro fights in Spain (with 17 in boxing and 51 in MMA).

Most of Spain's boxing matches have been losses, and none of them even to anybody you've likely heard of...except getting KO1ed by Fabián Andrés "TNT" Maidana (kid brother of Chino) and losing a UD4 in his debut to Leon Spinks III.

219 amateur bouts for Hogan...commentators saying he wound up with a good record but at one point had a slump of 32 losses, which Hogan says was a learning experience and made him a better fighter.

I mean... You can call a defeat a learning experience, maybe a few in a row even...but 32?? What was he, taking tokes off a vape pen before his ring walk every night?

Nothing of note happened in the first. Hogan probing with the right jab, experimentally hooking off it, more of a slow pantomime than anything, getting the muscle-memory flowing.. Spain playing keepaway, lobbing a few long backfoot rights. Hogan gets a few grazing swipes on the body. Meh.

    10-9 Hogan

Spain very awkward, making Hogan chase and lunge, sawing with an intentionally wide left jab up from just below his pec and then leading Hogan into traps, going up on hs toes and popping flurries before scrambling out laterally to escape the ropes.

Could argue the second or third round being even - or in fact nudge them both Spain's way and put him up 29-28. Most likely judges have a clean sweep for Hogan on aggression, which is fine I guess.

I don't really care about this enough to score it tbh, very bottom-rung stuff on display.

Hogan finally laid a flush left cross on Spain and knocked him up in the air, then into the corner turnbuckle. Better part of a minute left in the round after the knockdown and Spain looks dazed. Hogan jumps on him, flurries, and that's enough despite not much getting through as Spain covers up.

    TKO4!

Perfect kayo ratio intact, but Frank The Tank needs a lot of work.

I'd appreciate it if commenators on small hall shows could refrain from saying that EVERY tall southpaw is 'reminiscent of Paul Williams'. Most of them just aren't. At all.
