That said, Chavez has improved quite a bit over the past three years.

But don't forget that Manfredo is a far cry from Martinez in terms of ability or athleticism.

Martinez looked average against Barker who isn't much more proven than Manfredo.

Personally I think Chavez is still growing into his potential, Martinez looks like he's on the downslide, expect this fight to take place in 18-24 months.

 

With Chavez Jr no fighting Whitaker like, I'd be surprised if Martinez lasts longer than 5 rounds.

Lost to Lacy?...yeah...in the eyes of the guys at ringside and nobody else. Barker proved in the Belghacham fight that he faded late and was lucky that night to get the decision against a decent European level fighter...

 

If you think manfredo is better then barker then im done arguring with you since you proved you're an idiot.

 

I said more proven, a guy that struggles with Belghacham and gets dropped by Paul Samuels is less proven than a guy who has taken Mora to 2 close decisions and was stopped in a joke like manner against Calzaghe.

 

You do realize Manfredo is not the same fighter that fought Mora right? Want to talk about proven? Barker is a proven middleweight while Manfredo isnt.
