all I have to say is if JCC Jr somehow manages to fight Pirog before Martinez... I would be highly disappointed in Martinez... HIGHLY:oops:

i dont know Zbik was a quick awkward guy who does not nearly hit as hard as Martinez and Chavez had some swelling

then again Chavez will improve and Martinez has maxed out his ability

Chavez is a tall fighter who can move and jab and that alone can trouble Martinez like Barker did

maybe Chavez has a chance but not yet

he ain't gonna have lots of career left if he doesn't improve his defense.

I dont know much about fighters rehydrating but coming in at like 165 vs barker was a bad move. Barker tho had a bad style for martinez to really shine but pirog martinez.... thats interesting although i only seen pirog fight a couple of times

Chavez is a big dude. He throws a lot of punches, decent power, average speed, great body work n mad heart. I dont agree with how theyve protected him so far but he is a problem for anyone at 160

Chávez is incredibly slow and lumbering. He will br crushed when he fights someone who can fight.

There is no hype about chavez jr. Nobody is calling him great or the future of anything. People are just butthurt because we mexicans and latinos fully support him and praise him because of his name and tremendous heart in the ring. The kid has it in him. Just like his dad

Newsflash, dude: I'm Mexican, from Mexico, and living in Mexico. He is ****. And WE, Mexicans, are mostly NOT behind him. Read Mexican newspapers and people's comments. Most are calling him a fraud.

He's a fair, strong, improving young fighter, with a fan-friendly style. If he didn't carry the Chavez name, hey, perhaps you wouldn't know him. But, whoever did would likely appreciate him for what he does have. Strength, fighting mentality and some decent, raw talent.

Hey well might as well say the same about Canelo who picks on b level welter weights. My point is nobody is calling him the next great. I see him as a decent fighter with tremendous heart kinda like DeMarco. Chavez aint a bum, gives exciting fights and is only getting better. No need to hate

Yeah, he's okay. Sure, he's protected, but there are fighters who have been worse than him who have been beltholders.

Agreed, they both suck, but Jr. seems way less robotic.

He's protected, but he's not horrible. He did his job last night and won pretty convincingly. He is huge for a MW, I don't know how much longer he can make it. The fight that needs to happen next is Sergio, though I know it won't. Arum should make it, even if Chavez lost there's no shame in that loss, but with his size and strength, he may give Sergio some problems. I'd like to see it happen.
