Round 9

Moonsuree is just styling on Khonco now, throwing away double jabs up top and then contorting his upper body down low in a serpentine attack on the midsection, drilling Khonco with a low right hand. Khonco steps in with the jab and manages to just tickle Moonsuree on the nose with a couple, but Moonsuree was only lulling him before zapping him with his own double jab and then stepping around with a quick looping right into his temple. Moonsuree toying with him.

Well, the IBO doesn't appear to actually be on the line in this one, but even were it, that isn't exactly a "unification" on par with the Big 4...although I do agree that Khonco is a respectable challenger. Just outmatched here.

 

Round 10

Moonsuree is wriggling in close, getting his face buried inside the strike zone quickly so that Khonco's short left hooks are smothered and only his inner arm brushes against Moonsuree's right ear, while the champion ducks and shoeshines his torso before pulling out artfully. Moonsuree seems fresh and still able to fire volleys on the way in & out, while Khonco is focused on defending himself and remembering to punch once at most.

Round 11

Heavy right on the guard by Khonco. Moonsuree with a retaliatory 1-2 as he is stepping backward. Moonsuree blocks a weak Khonco left hook as the South African slides his lead foot in between Moonsuree's to gain advantageous position, and repels him with a couple of prodding jabs. Moonsuree now holding the left arm out at range, inviting Khonco to rush in past it while using it as his beacon toward Moonsuree's chin, but at the last second the champion sidesteps and blips him with an uppercut before flanking him and resetting.
