He claims Hopkins backed up all day and he didn't wanna engage. Now anybody who's watched Hopkins fight knows he's ALWAYS used the ring laterally to set up counters against pressure fighters. If he's studied Hopkins the way him and his trainer claimed they have, they would know that. Hopkins was backing up against Trinidad the first 2 rounds in their fight. He did it against Winky Wright, Kelly Pavlik.
The guy is just limited mentally and verbally poor. Then Scully is motivating this guy to believe in these fairytales. They started sayin this was a 50-50 fight and now they are sayin that he doesn't want to engage with a pity-pat counterpuncher. Chad doesn't want to engage either cause he is putting his forearm on Hopkins neck instead of sliding and slippin out of the clinch or waiting 4 the referee to break them off and with body shots out of the clinch or even pushing him off like Khan did to Peterson. In my opinion, they want Hop to snap and they are not gonna do it cause if Chad doesn't get overconfident, Hopkins doesn't fall into traps. Actually, if Chad is not overconfident, how the hell this has gone from a 50-50 fight to a non-competitive fight that is not going the distance? From this day until Sat nite, I am all over Dawson's ass and dirty mouth.
