chad dawson calls out bhop but never calls out other young top guys???why

I think Dawson should leave that on standby because I think Hopkins(and REAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLY hope) he retires after the fight with RJJ(Jones should retire too, he's shot). Chad's top priorities now should be Pascal and Cloud.

 

The only fighter other then a B-Hop, Calzaghe, or Jones Jr. that I want to see Dawson fight at the moment is Tavoris Cloud. None of the others would offer much competition.

The only fight I'm interested in watching Dawson in, is a fight against Tavoris Cloud. I think Dawson would probably outbox Cloud and stay on his bicycle for the entire fight but something tells me Team Dawson wants nothing to do with Cloud. The "no one knows who he is excuse" is always bull****.

 

Duh. At least one person here has common sense.

Why the hell would Chad "call out" someone who's less famous than he is, is less established than he is, and is less of a draw than he is? He's calling out Hops because he wants a payday and the notoriety.

 

Seriously who else CAN he call out? When you're #2, calling out #8 is kind of counter productive.

 

Get your facts straight, he called out BHOP, Kessler and Calzaghe and all of those guys turned him down.

 

:deal Don't know about Kessler but he tried to get a fight with Calzaghe and they denied him.

 

Hopkins and Dawson both beat Glen Johnson who's #6.

Dawson is going to fight the #5 guy shortly.

Brahmer is doing nothing. Cloud backed away from a fight with Dawson instead choosing to fight on FNF against Clinton Woods. Pascal's resume at LHW is paper thin. Two wins over Diaconu isn't compared to beating Adamek, Tarver twice and Johnson twice.

 

He offered to come down in weight. Kessler still said no.

 

But how does that apply to Dawson? His last 4 fights have been against guys on the list you provided. His next fight is probably going to be against Pascal(who is number 5 on the list), and he's also made it known that he wants a fight with Hopkins(who is no.2 on the list). So what is the problem?

 

jesus christ people will find a reason to complain about anything. Goddamn he wants big fights. Does Hopkins not refer to himself as the best LH in the world? Sure he's 45, but he's an active fighter and still one of the elite. No issues here.

 

Not to mention that Diaconu cancelled a fight with him and Cloud refused a fight with him so he could get an easy chance at a belt.

I can't believe people are still ripping on Dawson's resume. His last 4 fights have been against guys who were top 5 LHWs at the time. He whooped Johnson. Johnson then comes back a couple months later to whoop the consensus #7 guy. I'm convinced that Tarver would still whoop 2/3 of the guys on that top 16 list. LHW is a weak as hell weight class right now. If people are even considering a guy like Braehmer as the #3 in the weight class, then there really isn't anyone there worth fighting lower than that.
