It didn't impact his performance at all against Ward? Should we throw this crucial little fact out of the window because Dawson didn't cancel the fight?
No him draining himself is,the reason he lost to ward which may have also, resulted him in him being koed in sparring ..But keep trying to troll.
Too bad Ward only gets credit via speculation, because he certainly does not deserve much credit for beating down the walking dead.
It doesn't matter if he got KO'd in sparring. If you can't see why then you're just a coward, cowards make excuses.
Nah he didn't. He was "told to say that" per his twitter account, Nov 2012 getting back to a fan who asked why he tried to make a weight he hadn't made in 6 years. An article from BScene in 2014 (or 2013, can't remember) also had Shaw say they were pressured by HBO to accommodate Ward.
Who cares if he was "told to say that" or not? He was the one who still ultimately said he could make 168. :smoke
Ward should care. They knew he was gonna be boney at 168, why would you risk staining your legacy like that?! Chad went for the money like Canelo went for the money, both decisions were stupid - but I certainly don't blame them, I blame Ward and Floyd for knowing full well what would happen and gaining an edge that way. Poor sportsmanship, flat out.
You blame Ward for accepting a publicly issued challenge? Bottom line - Dawson called out Ward. And no amount of spin will change that fact. :smoke
What publicly issued challenge?!?? HBO goes to Shaw, Shaw talks to Chad, Chad tells Max on the mic. "I was told to say that" came 2 months later after the dust had settled. 'Dawson called out Ward' is a bottom line that lacks context. :deal
