Really Dawson did **** all, he didn't want to work with Scully and he went about it the wrong way. The only thing he said about Scully publicly was that he is too far along to be trained by him, he didn't say it in a disrespectful way either. That's between those two. Scully decided to come on the boxing boards and cry about Dawson, his fragile ego couldn't handle any perceived criticism. It doesn't matter who you are, if you are in the public eye and want to talk with fans you'll find some criticism, especially if you're an athlete/involved in sports. Scully is just being precious. You haven't heard Dawson's side of the story and you just want to blindly believe Scully word for word, and judge Dawson off that? It's nobodies business anyway, one line from Dawson and Scully comes on here blasting everybody. That's not particularly professional, if you want to play with dirt you're going to get dirty.

 

dawson's been disappointing me since the first glen johnson bout ended. not staying with manny, not turning up the heat on tarver and frankly, getting him out of there, not trying to take glen johnson out in their second bout, and not going for the kill early against pascal. ****, he even went to smw to face ward. what's the matter with him. he's needed better advisors and a consistent, good trainer for years.

To be fair to Scully,I told him that I had commented on the split with a thread and invited him to comment.If I had the ability to contact Chad, I'd have done the same for him,so it wasn't a case of him coming on here willy-nilly.
And although you say all he did was go about things the wrong way,he didn't even speak to him(Scully) before he announced it publicly and questioned JS's ability as a trainer.
So for no apparent reason,Chad drops another trainer and does it in a way that will affect Scully's reputation and earning potential at least in the short term,along with the disastrous camp which would also affect Scully's reputation were it left as Chad had claimed it was.
You're an S&C guy dealt_with, and you should appreciate how reputations are affected by performance and/ or public comments about a trainer/conditioner's ability.
And as I've previously stated,I believe Scully would disapprove of my initial comment, but it's my opinion that Chad should have had the decency to tell Scully they were splitting, and not announce it publicly and question Scully's ability.
The whole story on that thread explains a great deal, but it's your right to believe whichever party you choose.
Just as it's mine.
And it was said and done in a disrespectful way.I'm sure the vast majority would agree with that.

 

Come to think of it, didn't Scully give him the name "Bad" Chad during his amateur days? If there's tension between the 2 then maybe that's why he's dropped it

 

I suppose when you start losing high profile fights it can get misinterpreted.
