I remember at his peak, many thought he had P4P #1 potential. He had THAT type of natural talent along with skills. 6'3", very fast, great jab with a solid left. Too bad his heart/desire to be great wasn't as great.

As probably the biggest Dawson fan on this entire forum, objectively no he is not HOF worthy. I'd love to say he is, and if he did all that he had the ability to do, should've been a first ballot HOF'er, he wasn't consistent enough. I've gone on and on about how he didn't listen to his trainers, his mental lapses (even during fights), he just didn't have the mental focus to pull it all together. He gave glimpses of how great he should've been, Tall, long, lean, fast, southpaw, decent power, could fight on the front and back foot..............and just.................smh.

Rare to see an honest fan. I remember mayweather and other top fighters considered Chad pfp no.1 at one point. Must of been when mayweather was on hiatus.

I remember being shocked pascal beat him

Chad Dawson was one of the most frustrating fighters to be a fan of. I also try to be objective and realistic though.
