Dawson is right, he has no gameplan. When opponents are on the offense against Hopkins, he has a hard time countering. When Hopkins defeated Pascal and Pavlik, they had a very low work-rate.

What's sad is that you think Hopkins is this masterful boxer when he hasn't looked anything like that in his last 10 fights. When Pascal didn't let his hands go, he allowed Hopkins to dictate the tempo.

Dawson has studied Hopkins and understands how he fights, you will be surprised come Oct 15.

im not saying chad cant beat hopkins....he probably will...but to say he has no game plan is stupid....
and pascal didnt let his hands go becasue why? because he didnt want to get countered and smacked around or something...you make it sound like hopkins didnt win the fight only saying Pascal LOST it....
look, he SCHOOLED the dude that put an ass whipping on Chad....thats just a fact

Hopkins opponents have low outputs because Hopkins spoils their offense and counterpunches the crap out of them. Dawson will be in with an old dog, and he will be made to look ordinary just like Tito, tarver, Pascal and pavlik.

if chad has studied B-Hop as good as he studied Pascal...then we know Chad will be getting another "F" for his grade

Dawson said it best, Hopkins the way he fights now he picks his spots. What happens when Dawson becomes an aggressor and Hopkins can't counter back?

Pascal had Hopkins hurt in the 12th round, after that he relapsed and stopped putting any pressure on Hopkins, that's a fact.

Dawson only trained 4 weeks for Pascal, he had a long-lay off, and was going through personal problems. Despite that Dawson almost knocked out Pascal in the 11th round before the head-butt.

youre a guy with a Dawson avatar, obviously a fan...hopkins is 46 years old....hes gonna lose again at some point.....but if you actually think that you can simplify a master game plan to beat hopkins by "being aggressive" and thinking for some reason Hopkins cant or wont counter back and make him pay or think twice about being so aggressive...youre simply delusional...its gonna take a little bit more than that....:patsch

wouldnt be a loss without an excuse.....

buster douglas had family problems , his mom died about a week before the fight...he was fighting a 38-0 mike tyson.... he didnt have any excuses because he WON

I'm not simplifying anything, I can't, the fight hasn't started yet, I'm analyzing both fighters. Dawson has very fast hands, it's very hard to counter him. He has also has the height and reach advantage. Hopkins is a counter-puncher, Hopkins had problems with aggressive boxers in the past with speed.

Not making excuses for Dawson, he lost that fight fair and square, but Dawson was close to knocking Pascal out in the 11th round.
