I've heard his coach interview after the Saturday fight and I think he is good for Dawson. Chad is a fantastic athlete but doesn't always seem to appreciate boxing. Against Hopkins, he had more fire in the eyes than I've seen him since Adamek. That's a long time ago.

If we take the SMW and LHW, there are many fighters who have to face a slick opponent in order to know their real value: Lucian Bute, Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell, Chad Dawson: all these guys never faced a slick, fast AND young opponent. Dawson is now the more accomplished of them because of what he did Saturday, beating fairly easily an old but still very skilled Hopkins. I want all the fast, skilled and young fighters of these 2 divisions to fight eachother.

That will give us excellent fight nights.

So the judges got him put on his ass twice in the first round, and made him give away the 11th and 12th...the judges made that happen?

He got a lot of criticism (from me) because he has so much talent but was not using it properly. There were many fights where he seemed to be only working his shift. He semed to be unable to adapt in a fight and needed a rematch to figure out an opponent (Johnson and Tarver). His fight against Pascal was awful. Dawon hit the bottom that night. He was not well in his head.

He seems to feel way better now and will get fans back.

    What was your card?

The least we can say is Cloud didn't look very good in that fight. When he faced Zuniga and wasn't able to finish him, he also looked pretty bad but we could say he wasn't motivated for that fight but what about Campillo?

I hope he revenge his Pascal defeat. He has the skills, just need better mental and tactical approach.

He has the talent to be top 5 P4P. Does he have the opponent to do so? That is another question. I don't think he has the physical power to go HW, best he could is maybe look at the lower weights, which is not ideal.

Unreal!! How can u discredit such a great resume from a champ that aint even 30!! Dawsons the man, so much skills. Its like people forget everYthing before the Pascal loss when he was rightfully ranked top 5 p4p by everyone including RING.

Dawson is like 6"3 and is walking around at or near 200 lbs. He only rehydrates high when he's facing a big man(Glen Johnson). Against Hopkins and others he needed to be light. He';ll fit right in at Cruiser.

I thought Campillio did well and I mean no disrespect to him, but I think the poor pitiful me **** is a bit blown out of proportion considering he got dropped twice in the first and coasted and allowed himself to get outworked in the final rounds. I recognize he was really good in between, but he allowed himself to be in that position. I agree that Cloud didn't look great though...absolutely agree.

His reaction to the strength and power of Pascal (who was a comfortable super middleweight for a time until he grew out of it) was suspect enough.

I agree he's got a large frame at 175, but you think he can take CW bombs without blinking?

Dawson has rebounded well since his Pascal loss and is clearly back in the top 10 pfp. He has been in with some good fighters and has only one loss and still hasn't hit 30.

I agree with a lot of the criticism he gets, he does seem to lack the drive that someone like Bradley has and hiis fights aren't always the most exciting either. My biggest complaint of Dawson is that he is way too inactive. Two fights a year is a busy year for him, he really should be in the ring more.

If you add 175 with the guys who will move up from 168 then I think there are plenty of fights to keep Dawson at 175 for a few years.

So now Hopkins is already a top five cause he is listed in Dawson's resumé?

    Ward would dominate him.
