Chad Dawson, is he the real deal or just another Lacy.

Agree with everything except that he has size. He was a MW just a few years ago. He's not a big LHW. He also doesn't have one KO power. And like you said, his chin still hasn't really been tested.

But if he can pass the chin test, he's the real deal. Anyone who has watched him fight will instantly realize this.

 

He's 6'3 with a 76 1/2" reach.That's size!

He will be taller and will outreach just about every LH out there.

He last fought at Middle in 05.The reason he was a Middle and S.Middle is because he is young and his body was/is still maturing.Dont be surprised when he fills out to a full fledged Cruiser in several years.

 

Anybody who thinks that Dawson is anything like Lacy is either drunk or stupid. Dawson gave Adamek a boxing lesson and Admek was clearly the best man in the division. Jones, Tarver and Hopkins were all ducking Adamek so that has to tell you something.

 

Or, they just never saw him fight. My guess is the latter.

 

chad has got a champion's heart. The fact he goes down, but gets back up and goes back to business is a testament to his resolve.

 

Chad Dawson is a fine fighter. He has great skills, good power, and good conditioning. The biggest knock on him is that he appears to be a little frail. I don't think he takes a punch well.

Lacy does not have the skills Dawson has. He is more of a brawler. However, he has a much better chin than Dawson. There is no way that Dawson could have survived the beating that Calzaghe placed on him for 12 rounds.

 

Dawson is the real deal. He's a pound for pound type fighter with great speed and great skills. He might be the future at 175.

 

Dawson seems very very good from what I have seen. Great skills. Does not have a great chin though.

Tall, fast, great boxing skills, footwork and he can hit hard with either hand. and i'd say he has the best chance to make p4p top 5 out of the boxers you mentioned.
