Chad Dawson is shameless

    I've just read Chad Dawson's defamation of Bernard Hopkins, and it's much worse than the usual trash talk. He calls BHop a con artist and compares him to an outlaw running from a sheriff. Besides the bad taste of reminding Bernard of his criminal past, he ignores 20 consecutive title defenses and the fact that BHop is 45. Usually, young fighters are reluctant to accept an old man as an opponent, but Chad actually calls out BHop. The con artist is Dawson, whose last 4 "defenses" have been against grandpas. He wants no part of young champs like Jean Pascal (who fought at SMW until last year).

    Boxing history is full of fighters who, in their 40s, decided to continue fighting but against lesser opponents. Bernard Hopkins has earned this right, having ducked no one when he was champ. If he wants to fight easy opponents and guys who are tailor-made for him, he should be allowed to do that in peace. Sugar Ray Robinson fought a lot of chumps when he was 40+, and no one called him a con artist.

    Hes just trying to get himself a fight and the nice guy thing hasnt worked ,so i guess hes going for the bad guy thing now.

    Dawson is a bum. A safety first, boring con artist himself. No wonder Calzaghe and the rest of the elite didn't bother with him.

    Especially for Chad here's a nice reminder of what he hears chanted from the small crowd everytime he sets foot in the ring 'WHO ARE YOU'?

    Classic example of a fighter who don't appreciate those who came before him.
    Dawson still on his "retirement home" tour..... Looking for Hopkins/Jones Jr. next?

    Let Dawson fight a prime young Tavoris Cloud before he deserves to even mention the name Bernard Hopkins. Dawson aint proved Jack Squat in beating all these 40 yr olds.

    Dawson is only trying to piggyback off the name and legend of Bernard Hopkins. Dawson does not even deserve to speakk the name Bernard Hopkins.

    he is defaming himself for disrespecting a LEGEND as he his. F Dawson and his boring ass style.

    I have this awful feeling that circumstances are going to allow Dawson to build a legacy as a ATG LHW undeservedly. Beating contenders in one of the worst periods in the divisions history, and fighting reputable guys coming up in weight.

    He's good but not great. I'd love Cloud to knock this guy out.

    the answer to the above question is 40 if you mean last 4 fights, or
    37.5 if you mean last 4 diff fighters

    Next question, whens the last time dawson fought a young prime fighter?

    Chad Dawson has a huge potential. On one hand it is frustrating he is fighting washed up fighters like Johnson twice and Tarver twice and thats after beating Adamek. However he is still young and those 4 fights even though they didnt bring him much of exposure, he gained a lot of experience, especially from the Johnson fights.

    floyd actually fought top comp at 130 when he was coming up....

    floyd may be a cherry picker, but at least hes a proven superstar.....

    What has chad done to cherry pick???
