According to people from CT, Iceman Scully has been training with Dawson for the last three weeks. For those who don't know, Scully taught Dawson everything he knows, he trained Dawson in the amateurs and some of his earlier fights in the pros. It was Scully who taught Dawson the importance of attacking the body and using the left hand.
Where did you hear he was working with Muhammad again? Scully brought up Dawson as a boxer and worked with him a lot in the amateurs and pros. Scully was also a pro-boxer himself. Dawson always wanted to work with Scully but because Dawson signed with Shaw, it forced Dawson to move to other locations.
I guess I misread something in the other thread. Scully is the guy who made Matt Godfrey such a bore and it shows in Dawsons style as well.
I had my money on Dawson to pull the upset ...... but Nevermind. This guy is not disciplined enough to be on a elite level. He has the goods but just not the drive. Hopkins will lure him deep and then drown him.
Agreed. I'm not so big on Hopkins, I think people overrated him to a ridiculous degree after beating Pascal but this story has lowered my already shaky confidence in Dawson.
