Chad Dawson ko'd by Edison Miranda while sparring

Obviously if this is true it is anything but ideal for Dawson..

Let's not forget though, SRL was starched in sparring the week before his fight with Hagler (I believe his tactics originally for that fight was to trade with Marvin, but after that he decided to stick and move) and we all know the result of that fight.

 

I'm assuming this was pointed towards my last post and instead satisfying your need for a rebuttal containing verbal abuse I'll just say this....if you truly feel Dawson suffered a "concussion" then yes its signifigant though what I'm trying to focus on here is Miranda and Ward are worlds apart and no we don't have concrete evidence and yes news like this can sometimes be overstated, sensentialized and exaggerated.

Secondly if you think I'm a member that should be "quarantined" for stupidty than you seriously need to find a new site to update yourself with current events surrounding boxing....cleary your standards are way above the norm lol....

 

You speaking on this as if it's fact...especially that he was knocked out cold, is far more stupid than anything you are responding to. To honestly believe that Dawson was "knocked out cold", while wearing headgear, by a C+ fighter (as it stands today) with padded gloves, who was sonned by Isaac Chilemba in his last fight blows my mind. Especially considering said fighter has been in with far better fighters, who have knocked out far better guys, yet hasn't been "knocked out cold".

I mean maybe something happened, as in maybe Miranda rocked Chad...maybe even made him take a knee, but "knocked out cold"...no ****ing way.

 

they are not worlds apart in skillset if dawson can fight effectively at 168 as 175.

if they were to be fighting at 175 i would have dawson as a -200.

as for my standards, i am assuming every avid boxing fan would know that a KO(concussion) weeks before a fight(no sparring or training for at least a week)would have signifgant if not absolute ramifications for a fighter dropping weight classes in a division he hadnt fought in six years.

but perhaps you are right in that i am expecting too much out of my fellow esb boxing fans.

 

Solid post. Of course Dawson is going to say all the right things before a bout. He probably even believed most of what he said BEFORE he started draining. I'd like to think Dawson can pull this off but I'm just not seeing it at this point.
