The million dollar question is "how the hell's Dawson getting a decision in Oakland?"

Betting on Chad is a sucker's bet. Not because he can't outbox Ward, but because he won't stop Andre and sure as hell won't get the decision in SOG's back yard.

chad was stopped in the amateurs so being dropped in sparring is highly possible.

being stopped in the amatuers 10 years ago and being out cold in sparring weeks before a fight are two entirely different things. if chad was out in sparring then there is no way that you can bet on him.

i very rarely bet on a guy that has been kod or beat down in a fight. the majority of guys are never the same(holyfield, lewis, morrison, norris, zab, tszyu are a few exceptions).

amir khan is a great example of a fighter who i am positive that will never be the same. he is a fade from this point on against any fighter with a chin and solid punch.

Even if it did happen, I dont think it will make much of a difference.

Guys get Knocked down in sparring. it happens.

Dont think it will affect the fight.

Umm,can you point to any of Wards victories in Oakland that were in anyway suspicious??

Every fight he won there, he won easily. Absolutely no ambiguity or "robberies"

OK, "Insider", we'll be needing some verification or you're looking at a fake-news ban.

There's actually nothing whatsoever wrong with that, actually.

Unless you're betting on yourself to lose and then take a dive, which is morally reprehensible.

As long as you're backing yourself, if you're good enough to peg down a round in which to KO your opponent, more power to you. (some argue this is akin to point shaving in team sports, but **** that. Again, if you're good enough to pick a round, bless ya, get paid)

What if he bets on himself by decision and coasts the last rounds to get the pay day?

    Fair play.

The only taboo is throwing a match to collect on yourself losing.

Anything involving you winning, it still doesn't violate the spirit of competition. You're still imposing your will (even if it's guided by your wager) on the other man and it's still up to him to combat it.

If you bet on yourself to knock him out in the sixth, it's still up to him to not get kayoed. The spirit of competition is intact.

If you bet on yourself to win a decision, it's up to him to sway the judges his way or to knock you out, same as normal. The spirit of competition is intact.

How many gift decisions has Ward gotten?

Yeah I suppose that's right. It'd be impossible to prove that someone was carrying another fighter and not just fighting safety first style.

Allen Green's chin wasn't a factor vs Ward so I doubt Dawson's will be vs Ward.
