Some of you jackasses really can't read can you?

It says it will make sense some day...

Meaning it makes no sense now. But in a couple of years, depending on whether PW can handle Winky and possibly KP, he could move up to 168. Then if he fought a couple of fights there, it might make sense for him to eventually fight Dawson.

PW has Dawson contemplating him. Paul takes this as a complement, as he should. Nothing more nothing less.

Ok, ok... but doesn't it bother you a little that with guys like Cloud, Johnson, even Diaconu in his own division, and guys like Adamek and Cunningham a few pounds north, that Dawson is basically calling out a welterweight?

    I mean come on...

I don't give a **** about Dawson, or what this says about him. I'm just looking at it from the perspective of Paul WIlliams.

Besides, he didn't really call him out. He just said it will make sense one day. And he is possibly right.

You're wasting your time. Basic comprehension skills seems to have eluded many on this forum. A lot can happen in a couple of years. Hell, CW champ Guillermo Jones used to be a welter weight.

Not going to happen, it's just talk, besides Williams has no plan of campaigning in SMW. If Hopkins or Calzaghe refuses to fight Dawson (which they can easily do), Dawson has no choice but to fight Glen Johnson, Diaconu, or Cloud. Well Johnson and Diaconu might be fighting each other, so Dawson has plenty of options after he beats Tarver. He can move down to SMW and fight Kessler or Bute.

He didn't duck Diaconu, he just wanted a more lucrative fight. Dawson even said so himself.

    [YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/f9xPKDrPyLE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/f9xPKDrPyLE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

And Dawson couldn't rematch Johnson right away because he had to give up a belt, and after the fight with Tarver, Tarver activated the rematch clause.

I don't even know why Dawson is talking about Williams(who hasn't even done **** at 160 yet). Dawson got his ass knocked around by Johnson and needs to look into giving him a rematch.

    Well said.

I am a big Chad supporter but please, let's not call out the small dudes, after we're done with the old dudes.

Clean out LHW, or move up and fight some of the studs at 200 (Cunningham, Adamek, Jones, etc).

There is no money in the cruiserweight division, no point in Dawson fighting in that division. I'm a Dawson supporter too but I question the decisions he has made. Two years as a champion and it's been somewhat an odd road. I didn't like that he dropped the WBC belt to fight Tarver. And it's pretty pointless for Dawson to continue pursisiting elite fighters like Hopkins and Calzaghe. I mean it's one thing to call them out, but if they so no then it means no and Dawson should move on. Boxing isn't as popular or rich as it used to be. The only way to get BIG money fights is to win against credible opponents, then it sets the stage for the elite fighters. Boxers like Manny Pacquiao and Kelly Pavlik are good examples of that. Yeah Pavlik lost against Hopkins but he fights whoever is in front him and his mandatories, I like that in a fighter.

His mandatory is an unproves prospect, I can see why he wouldn't wanna fight him
