Back in the olden days you used to have to actually beat the man before you were considered the man...

When Dawson opens up he can look great but his game is inconsistent.

That's because Hopkins doesn't want anything to do with him. There are easier fish to fry than Dawson. And as a fan of Hopkins, i don't want him to fight Dawson because i think he loses.

See, it is pure bull**** like this that has stopped me posting here years ago. Now I come back and see the same old ******ed ****.

Consider me gone again after correcting this. I dont have time for ****.

Calzaghe spent a decade fighting bums or nobodies. He didn't give a flying **** what anyone thought about it. He still sold out in front of his home crowd. He still got his paycheck.
He could have gone on for years more doing the same thing. The guy just didn't give a **** about who you or anyone else thought he should be fighting.

The idea that he retired because he was scared of Dawson is worse then ****ing ludicrous. He retired because he wanted to retire. Boxers of his age do that sort of thing.
It's not like he was forced to either fight Dawson or retire. He coulda fought whatever bums he wanted to. He did that for ****ing ten years without giving a **** what you think and he could have kept doing it, again without giving a **** what you think.

Sure, such on Chad's dick all you want. But you must be sucking some hallucinogens out of his nutsack to say such stupid ****.

Even still, no matter how ******ed his fans are, Dawson is an awesome fighter with a phenomal arsenal - punches in bunches from angles his opponents dont see coming. A truly awe-inspiring fighter to watch.

He has very little power.. one of the main components for an offensive arsenal. So no, not really.

Are you high? You've got to be cheesing your f'ing balls off to bust out something like this. Was Hatton the man after winning the WBU, too?

Sadly, neither do the fans. Part of the reason his turnout with Tarver was so poor was because people wanted to see a Glen Johnson rematch, but there's really no excuse that they couldn't sell 500 tickets to that fight. That's the kind of thing that is not only confusing because Chad's usually an entertaining fighter to watch, but it makes it quite easy for the top dogs to not really give a **** about him. That he voluntarily gives up his only bargaining chip (his belt) doesn't help, either.

I would never count B-Hop out against anyone but stylistically, Dawson is all wrong for Hopkins. I think that's why Hopkins said a few times that he won't fight any more "young lions". That means Dawson to me.

Chad Dawson arguably has the most complete offense in boxing. He's accurate, he has a great jab, goes to the body well, throws all punches well, throws combos and throws from all angles. My only concern is that some times he takes parts of rounds off and losses focus when he should be working.
I agree that Dawson would beat the hell outta Kessler who is tailor made for him.

Unfortunately, I can't give any credit to an opinion when it comes from people saying idiotic things like: Kessler wants no part of Dawson. From the moment you write that kind of thing, you're writing white on black (at least on this forum) that all you know about boxing is your reading on internet. You don't know anything on the psychological aspect of boxers, who are never afraid of an opponent. You know nothing about boxing business neither to consider as a ducking a non happening fight. Boys, grow up.

On the main subject, Dawson has a lot of skills. He has some flaws, like anyother boxer. He still has things to prove to be called the king of the division but he should be able to do it. Personnally, I'm not sure he beats Kessler, even at 175 (anyway, on fight night, Kessler is heavier than Dawson). What ****ed Kessler against Calzaghe was the weird way Joe can move. Dawson has nothing weird, he does everything well but straight.

Chad Dawson has obvious flaws in his make up, his strengths are also overrated.
