This guy has nothing to do with Ward, Mayweather even tho Floyd once put him high up there p4p, or any classy LHW of the past. Even his old trainer, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad or once known as Eddie Gregory was a stand up guy who beat Matthew Franklin and later stopped Marvin Johnson to win a WBA LHW Title, later on losing it to Michael Spinks who also won a 15 round UD against the guy who destroyed Matthew Franklin in Philly the second time around who was Dwight Braxton or Dwight Muhammad Qawi.
Chad Dawson has no real power to whoop anybody's ass but he's flashy, he has skills and he's hungry but he didn't go after Antonio Tarver, he did not chase Glen Johnson, why is he fighting out of character against Hopkins?... I tell why... He wants to prove that he has heart which was one of the things B'Nard questioned about him along with mental strength and patience so he just chased him but for the people who believe he was about to corner B'Nard and let all combos fly, think again... In that very same 2nd round, B'Nard made him stumble back and take a seat on his trunks, man! the guy can't even pressure a guy right... Chad is looking to impress the judges by being aggressive and marching forward which also may mean ring generalship. Happens that this fella is so tall, I wonder if he will measure his steps at close quarters and will not just make a fool out of himself by throwing right jabs into the thin air and spending all night tryin to set Nard up and eating a lot, I mean a lot of counters coming in recklessly... Do you guys know that Nard is already thinking about Bute at this stage?

 

So who are you picking than? Because last time I asked you that, you never gave me a clear anwser.

 

This should be a UD for Dawson ..Could be a TKO if Dawson doesn't have any mental lapses ..

 

I hate how people pretend that Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson didn't engage in a professional boxing match for nearly 6 full minutes last October.

 

I hate how people act like Dawson wasn't getting his ass whipped by Sean Pascal when they fought and than act like he was gonna knock him out towards the end of the fight,(just because he had a decent rally) when he showed NO REAL POWER and didn't hurt him once in the fight. Oh BTW, Hopkins UD.

It took Hopkins 2 fights to figure him out and in the first fight Pascal dropped him more than once ..Dawson just has to not lose his cool ,I expect Hops to resort to fouling or clinching if it goes into the deep waters ..

 

No, that's not true. Hopkins outboxed Pascal and figured him out easier than Dawson did, and Dawson has more speed than Hopkins. And that's because Hopkins has a better boxing IQ and he's more versatile. And Pascal only legitimaty knocked Hopkins down once, because the first knockdown was a behind the head shot and second knockdown(that was legitimate) was a balance shot he caught hopkins with. But Hopkins cameback to dominate the fight and dominated the second half of the second fight. Dawson didn't dominate ****, he was getting caught with many of big shots and he was getting timed with the right hand consistently. Soon as Hopkins nullifies his punchout put like he did Calzaghe(who might have the best workrate in the history of boxing) and Pavilik, the fight is over. Dawson is nothing but mentally fragile punk, who's trying to convince himself something that he's not. I just love how Hopkins is playing mind games with him and his team, having them think he's scared and doesn't wanna fight.

 

I know you don't believe this. So your trying to tell me just because he had to official knockdowns against him, that it took him a second fight to figure him out? Even though in their first fight he was winning the majority of the fight?

 

Tell the truth were you shcoked when that happened ? And I exppected Hopkins to run through him .. I never expected Pascal to even be in the fight against Hopkins at any point ..The rematch was more clear but the 1st fight ?

 

Yeah but those wasn't really big knockdowns. I mean if he had hurt Hopkins, like kind of how Tarver hurt Jones when he knocked him down, than I would of been shocked. The second knockdown was legit because his gloved touched(but he was offbalance) but the first shouldn't of been called a knockdown, he hit Hopkins behind the head.

 

Two of them were legit ..The 3rd was suspect ..But we shall see Dawson is a better boxer ...I mean Hopkins struggled with Taylor and Calzaghe where does Dawson fit in between those 2 ? Only diffrence is his mental lapses ..Could be a long night for Hopkins .The first fight didn't really say much ..2 rds is nothing in a championship fight .

 

Because I totally said something about this... Kind of out of nowhere dude...

 

Dawson had a horrible night no doubt but he lost in a shortened fight by "technical decision", I mean at least be real. Dude is one of the lb 4 lb best fighters in the world, not sure why/how you ignore the man's entire career and focus on one fight that wasn't even against the best fighter he's fought.
