Chad Dawson or Joe Calzaghe

Joe Calzaghe is way to clever for Chad Dawson.

I don't know. I want to see this question settled in the ring, because I think they spell big trouble for each other.

 

Calzaghe has faster foot speed, Dawson the faster hands by a hair, Calzaghe the better defense. Calzaghe would out smart Dawson and outwork him en route to a UD.

 

You guys are over rating Calzaghe. How will he beat someone who is faster, stronger, bigger and hits harder. And who is also technically superior. Dawson is ALL wrong for Joe, and will defeat him with superior angles and combinations. Joe showed a difficulty to adapt when presented with an opponent with good boxing skills in Kessler. Dawson, who is a better and faster boxer then Kessler would be too much for him.

 

I am done questioning Calzaghe he is truely a great fighter, he is too much for Bad Chad.

 

I have seen all of Dawsons recent fights, and he is the truth. He possesses deadly speed in both his hands and feet, although he is more explosive then Joe. He puts combinations together from angles like only Roy could before him. He has good power, good defense, and is a very well rounded fighter. I could not be more confident about a pick then Dawson > Joe.

 

Calzagne also has ring experience over Dawson by a country mile. I think Kessler vs. Dawson would be a closer fight.

 

Because he beat Lacy and Kessler? They are totally different opponents. You need to analyze ability and style not record against very different opponents. Watch Chad Dawson, then watch footage of Calzaghe side by side and get back to me.

 

Exactly the way I see it.

Yes Dawson has slightly faster hands,yet Calzaghe trumps him in every other category.

Joe's adaptibility,defense and sense of distance will win him this fight,now,or 2 years down the road.

 

I hope this fight gets made so Dawson can prove just how good he really is.
