this is a good move. steward was trying to turn dawson into hearns and that's not his style. i think dawson beats hopkins if he goes back to his old style.

 

The best he ever looked is with Floyd Sr. Floyd Sr really excels with a guy like Dawson. However it will never happen. Sr called Dawson a ******.

 

Stewart probably snapped at him during training, when Chad started acting like his old passive aggressive self. "You got to let ya g'damn hands go Chad!" "Sit down on them mutha****in' punches, like (Stewart paused, but, he couldn't help himself)...like Tommy Hearns!" That was the last straw. Chad had enough of Stewart's loud talkin' (remembering his experience w/ Floyd Sr., and how that made him feel small...even though he hasn't looked as good since) and being compared to Tommy Hearns (a standard he could never live up to). So, he gave Manny his walking papers.

Really though...w/o Stewart, who does Chad have in his camp that can match wits with Naz and Bernard?

 

Chad doesn't need Steward to beat Hopkins, he just needs to focus. I would hope he would team up with Jeff Mayweather, that would be great just to see Sr. reaction.

 

Well all that is left is to get the best trainer the sport of Boxing has ever known.
