OH YES SIR, beating Glen Johnson IS impressive to you haters, that is UNLESS Joe beats him. then it's fighting a totally shot 39 year old:rofl:lol:

Don't be so melodramatic. Taking on worthy challenges would earn the respect of his harshest critics.

Taking on a prime/hungry Lacy got Joe nothing, but more hate, so what have you been reading on here since March 2006??
ANYONE Joe fights is hypted/overrated, IF Joe wins, he got ZERO props from 2006 March, so you are already proven wrong:patsch

No need to talk like that, I simply spoke the truth, on that given event. AND the same results will happen no matter who Joe fights...i am NOT saying you are like that, okay:hi:

Calzaghe had a bad back the one time he was supposed to fight him, or at least claimed to have. The other time he ducked him because he was going through a divorce :rofl

Johnson wasn't worth the risk, I have no doubt about that. Calslappys entire career is littered with him using that method for picking opponents, hence the 43 year old Hopkins and 39 year old Jones for his career defining fights. Kessler may or may not turn out to be a credible win in time we'll have to wait and see....like we did with Lacy :good

I agree with your last sentence though, if Calslappy takes on Johnson now he'll be ducking Dawson for sure - and I wouldn't put it past him to do it now Johnson is a few years down the line, a tactic I believe I mentioned above.

Jones was scared to go abroad on the strength of him refusing to fight DM, presumably? An argument can be made for that I suppose but how many other times did Jones do it? The fact is Jones was born in the States and like it or not that's always been where the big matches are, he didn't really need to travel like Calslappy did. As for what would have happened if he'd said around 2001 "OK then Joe I'll bring my undisputed 175 title to Wales to fight for your meaningless WBO ****, that seems fair enough" then see what happened with Glen Johnson :yep

Actually Frank Warren is on record as saying that Calslappy was afraid to fight Lacy and tried to pull out the week leading up to the fight, not that it matters.

So why didn't he fight him and beat him when it mattered then, if it was so easy to achieve and would have looked so impressive :huh

You are joking, right? The Lacy and Kessler fights started a Calslappy love-in on here that is still going on to this day, hence the ridiculous case some of the Calslappy lovers are trying to make for him being better than Lennox Lewis :rofl :rofl

Dawson has wins over Adamek, Johnson and Tarver. He is clearly the number 1 contender in the division. If Joe don't fight Chad, he might as well retire.

Kessler- Turned down a fight with Dawson and appears focused at 168

Pavlik- fighting at 160 for the time being

    Bute- 168

Dawson has three fights- Calzaghe, Cloud and Hopkins. He's chasing the biggest one there is right now in Calzaghe.
