Dawson would outbox Joe in the states, at this stage.

Which is why Joe is going to try and hold this one in his backyard, with his judges...if he holds it at all.

So, has Dawson made an offer yet, or was it all talk?

If Joe wins, Dawson is a good list in his collection. If someone will ask who Calzaghe has beaten, the list will start with Dawson, who is still undefeated. But Dawson is the naturally bigger man, Joe might get his first L here.

    i agree with cobbler.

when you call a fighter out, you back it up with a £££££ offer.

calzaghe is self promoted , so its easy to do.

when team calzaghe and team kessler were calling each other out it went i will offer you £3 million
    countered by
no i will offer you 4 million
    counterd by
no i will offer you £5 million
till it got to a $10 million fight

so far i have not read a single financial offer by team dawson and until then dawsons offer was the same as all those open letters than syd vanderpool sent calzaghe , none of which had any money attached , just rhetoric. and that fight never took place.

Joe´s legacy don´t need it,He IS a star.I think it´s worthless to "call" a fighter when this fighter has retired!!Dawson know he won´t get the fight!! He should move on,forget Joe Calzaghe.
But maybe it´s feels nice to be able to say:" :bartI have called calzaghe out several times!","He don´t wants to fight me..He´s affraid."
BUT face the fact that joe c. has retired, undefeated.
new talents are on their way

hey cockjockey, I'd say JC is a few years too young to be fighting OAP-mugger Dawson.

fighting weight ....funny you say that... so a 26 yr old fighting 40+ fighters makes him a worthy challenger to calzaghe right? lol get a grip ........if dawson desperately wants calzaghe like he says he does......he should sell his house put everything on the table raise the cash make it happen...his all talk.

Why would team Dawson make Calzaghe an offer? Calzaghe already said he's retiring. Everyone knows damn well that Dawson would fight Joe in a minute if Joe were interested in the fight.

Calzaghe actually had an offer to fight Dawson last year and he backed out.

    Are you nuts?

Dawson can call out Ray Robinson for all that it matters. If wants the fight he needs to put an offer on the table to Joe that he cant refuse. Fighters dont fight because they have been called out they fight for the money.

Do you think Joe needs to make an offer to Dawson or something? Joe can pick and choose whatever the **** he wants now or just retire. Dawson needs to fight and if he wants Joe its up to him to get the ball rolling and no, "calling someone out" dont count for ****. Make a ****ing offer or shut up Dawson.

Fans use this flawed line of logic all the damn time. Calzaghe is his own promoter, has a loyal fan base in the U.K, as well as the deep pockets of HBO. He can make millions of dollars for pretty much any fight he wants. Givne that HBO wants to make a Calzaghe/Dawson fight, you can bet Calzaghe would get a ton of money for this fight.

Joe can do whatever he wants. He fought crap fighters for most of his career anyway. However, the fact that people are insinuating that Dawson doesn't want this fight is straight up ridiculous. Dawson would jump all over the opportunity to fight Joe.

Calzaghe was already made an offer to fight Dawson and turned it down.
