Nonsense, look at Jones from 2001 and then against the Welsh coward and then look at prime Tarver to the one that's fighting now....which guy has slipped more?

Eubank? Wasnt Eubank retired then took the fight on 2 weeks notice? How is that an impressive win?

Which guy has slipped more wasn't the question: clearly Jones has slipped more as he was a hell of a lot better in the first place.

The question was which one was more dangerous now.

No he wasn't, he was in training for another fight. Good to see you have all the facts at your fingers.

Dawson lost to Johnson? :rofl Why is it you know nothing always say that just because a fight was close, the fighter who you dont like lost?

I guess Calslappy lost to Reid then? Well, that places Calslappies resume even lower, considering Johnson at any stage of his career is twice the fighter Reid ever was.

No, that's the answer to 'which was better four years ago?'

You think that version of Jones is more dangerous than Tarver?

    Can't see it personally.

Exactly. That's why the 31 year old SMW Eubank is only a marginally more impressive win than the 37 year old Johnson or 40 year old shot Tarver, rather than a lot more impressive.

Yeah, getting beat decisively twice, Roy Jones magically got better over that 4 year period after taking 2 ass whippings and not fighting a top 10 opponent in that period. I can tell you excell in logic.

It wasn't me who said it. Personally I think it's fairly marginal. In fact it probably would depend who they were facing.

imo he should fight Glen Johnson again, cos like me alot of people think that Johnson won the fight and once thats put to bed, then Calzaghe. If Joe wants to that is, cos by rights his career has been done and he deserves his retirement.

Why would he have to get better. Tarver has clearly declined significantly in that period. The question then is, has Jones declined less. I think he probably has. Whether thats to enough of a degree that he is now the more dangerous opponent is, I think, arguable.

I thought he was scheduled to fight at 190 before he took the Calslappy fight, not positive though. One thing is for sure, Eubank was 3-4 years past his best when he fought Calslappy even without weight drain. This is a pretty common theme for Calslappys entire career actually....the 3-4 years past their best thing I mean. This fact makes all the Calslappy fans crying about Dawson picking on 'poor old Joe' all the more amusing
