Chad Dawson rehydrates to 191lb - how is he going to make 168?

Lol @ people acting like a few pounds of water weight changes the outcome of the fight. Dawson has competed at 168 plenty of times, he's a small light heavy who always weighs in at around 173 without draining himself. Ward was the one who fought as a light heavyweight in the amateurs, these guys are basically the same size. Skilled pros who know their bodies. So STFU and enjoy, talking all this Ward wins at super middle Dawson wins at light heavy nonsense. It makes absolutely no difference.

 

It's a lot of weight to lose and rehydrate whatever he comes in at. Ward really gains little from this, he either loses to a weight drained Dawson or wins against a weight drained Dawson and get's no credit for it.

This fight should have either been at a catch weight or 175lbs. Makes no sense to have it at 168lbs. Only person that can gain from this is Dawson, if he can somehow pull it off while being drained and become a 2 weight world champion.

 

Last I checked, Dawson hadn't fought at 168 since 2006. We just might have another Oscar on our hands here. Ward doesn't have to move up to 175, he can go there just for the one fight, just like other P4P level fighters are doing.:roll:

 

I personally think it is moronic and he will lose solely because of it.

 

We already know how JCC Jr does it he uses Diuretics which are banned and he has tested positive for.

 

imo this fight should be made at 175 or at 170 pounds cw. Dawson will be drained as **** but as far as i know Dawson said that he wants to take this fight at 168 , so .... Ward has accepted it !

Unfortunately Bute was destroyed by Froch and he is out of the equation :-(
