Chad Dawson should be top 10 p4p

I think Dawson is borderline top 10 for pretty much anyone ATM.

 

Here's my top 8 (not in exact order):

Manny Pac
Joe Calzaghe
Juan Manuel Marquez
Antonio Margarito
Israel Vasquez
Bernard Hopkins
Rafael Marquez
Ivan Claderon

(the guys above are deffo above him in my book)

After that its harder to choose; he is by no means a lock; you feel he should be up there but many fans might not agree with you; I have him at 10 in my personal list.

 

Most people have him around 10-13ish haven't they? Even if they don't have him top 10 yet....I'm sure with his next fight his stock will rise again and he will go a few notches higher.

 

I think Dawson deserves a spot in the p4p top 10 also.

 

on talent it is a no brainer...he will be top 5 after this year

 

If Calzaghe or Hopkins had the cojones to fight him he would be top 5 very quickly. Forced to rematch Tarver, he will remain top 15 or so for the foreseeable future.

 

15-20. No higher.

 

Chad should definitely be in the top ten p4p rankings as well as Paul Williams. Those two are always excluded from the p4p rankings. Furthermore proving that the p4p rankings are a load horse ****.

6) Margarito

With the remaining 4 spots you can have either Darchinyan, Donaire, Juanma Lopez, Wladimir, David Haye, Joan Guzman, or perhaps yes Chad Dawson i wouldnt complain about but he isnt a top 5 for sure but a top 10 i would give him that

 

We'll see. He needs to make one more statement for my taste. Whooping Tarver is valued at nothing in my world. Things have been a little bumpy other than that.

 

Bud i cant be arsed bumping the thread, and i cant find the 9th round(hop/cal), so untill i see it, i'll retract. Im still sure from the gif the body shot is good, but until i see the next 30 secs or so(cortez reaction) im not getting into an argument about something i cant back up, so i'll retract on the gif.

 

dawson's a contender, a player who can attract meaningful fights but needs a standout win to make his name.

its a joke to suggest he's p4p top 10 based on what he's done so far.

 

I think you made a keen observation. It just turned out to be a tough thing to read because the shot landed on the outside away from the camera angle, and the GIF cut off right at that point. You were totally on the right track though, IMO.

 

what have lopez, guzman or donaire done to deserve top 10????

guzman has basically no quality wins against competitor top 50 p4p, donaire has 1 noteworthy win and lopez is nothing but an up and comer at this point
