That would be a good fight too! BUt Bhop is a puzzle that is difficult for anyone to piece together.....and it's very possible that CHad could loose to the cagey Vet. I do think by CHad beating Glenn even though it was Very close and by him DOMINATING Tarver in the fashion he did warrants him a shot at JOe..IF Joe is willing of course....Joe doesn't really need to fight Chad. It would be more of JOe wanting to scilence his critics than anything else and sealing his Career by beating a PRIME, Young and determined LHW champion in CHad. THere will be no excuses or reasons to question JOe any longer b/c he beat legends and he would have beaten YOUNG PRIME Champions.

But I'm sure Bhop doesn't want it with Chad right now and Chad definitly doesn't want it from Bhop. THe man of the hour is JOe C.....and he's calling the shots. JOe already beat Bhop in a close contrverail win so he won't do a rematch.,..which leaves Chad. IT would be a great win for both fighters and a very meaningful match for boxing.

Hopkins shouldnt be able to dictate when he gets a shot, he should earn another shot or fight Dawson.
Calzaghe beat him so now calzaghe has gone on from him, so why not Dawson v Hopkins I cant think of a better way to decide calzaghe next opponent.

But if Dawson lost to Hopkins it will prove he is not ready, everyone says hopkins is old and over the hill so if thats the case dawson should win shouldnt he??
Joe found a way champions always do.
The fact is Hopkins is still a very very good fighter, he had a game plan against Calzaghe that very nearly worked, to stifle calzaghes work and hold and work the inside.
If Dawson fights and beats Hopkins then I would have no problems about then saying Dawson deserves a shot at Calzaghe.
    And neither would Joe

You're opperating off a whole list of assumptions of things that I never said. My point in stating that Dawson beat two guys who destroyed a better version of Roy than Calzaghe fought is that Dawson is a better fighter than Jones at this stage of both of their respective careers. Do you deny this? If Roy is good enough to fight Calzaghe, than so is Dawson. And another thing, the Johnson vs. Sheika fight was very close and could've gone either way. You can not come to the opinion that Sheika is clearly better than Johnson based on that fight.

No this particular question asks how long Mayweather has had hand problems

Hopkins is a futre HOFer and ATG, he doesn't need to earn a shot at anyone at this point in his career. Hopkins will never go for that bull****, never. So if Calzaghe doesn't want to fight either one of them at this point, then he needs to retire or find another fight.

And you cant assume Dawson is better than Jones until they fight.
I dont know if he is they havent fought
All i know is calzaghe is better than jones, hopkins, & kessler and that is becasue he has fought and beaten them, dawson on the other hand is he better than all those fighters???

Boxing enthusiasts know that styles make fights. Glen Johnson is a tough fighter for anyone. he comes to fight. Fighters get different hunger for different fights. Chad Dawson is a very good fighter and only time will tell if he becomes a great one. however, on that night he did outbox glen johnson enough for a win, just not in a manner he was expected to. If Glen Johnson had been the champ or someone of higher stature (like Tarver) Chad would have come out with a different mindset and taken him more seriously than he did. it is completely a mental thing.
Calzaghie could be tempted to fight Chad, but doubt it. There will always be more fighters for him to "prove" himself, much in the way Mayweather feels the same. Each of these guys trains extremely hard for each fight and it is likely not realistic they could do this for a lot of guys.
Boxing fans want to see the best fight, but don't often realize the business of boxing is to fight bigger names who draw more watchers. Calzaghe is likely done, nothing left to prove. Just like Hopkins should have never fought Taylor, these older guys should fight each other and leave the up and coming very good fighters alone.
The most notable thing about Roy Jones is nto only his slow down of skills but his lack of killer instinct and hunger. It just isn't there anymore.
Chad Dawson will and should fight the Kesslers of the world and let the legends like Jones, Hopkins, and Calzaghe move on to promote.

This argument is pointless. Hell, you don't know that Calzaghe is better than Jean Pascal seeing as how they've never fough according to you.

No he does not. If Calzaghe doesn't want to fight him, that's fine. However, Hopkins doesn't need to earn a damn thing.

His whole career ? didnt he say in 24/7 getting ready for hatton that in recent years he has to have those special soaked bandages applied to his hands?
He goes to see a specialist who would cover his hands with these bandages and they would prolong his carreer apparently.
So its in recent years that he has had hand problems and not from the start like calzaghe
In calzaghes forst 9 pro fights he tko or kod all his opponents in 1 or two rounds
He had a hell of a punch, this was around 1993
Then he started getting hand problems around 96/97 and his fights started to go longer and he boxed far more
So when you consider he has had these problems since 96 (12 years)
Its remarkable that we are still talking about an unbeaten fighter 46-0

Thats a long time to have hand problems
Mayweather wouldnt have coped with that and neither would others
