Chad Dawson, the new Zab Judah

Dawson's chin is definately his biggest flaw. However, he seems to be more dedicated than Judah with better stamina as well. Chad could go a long way in this sport, but if his jaw gets cracked and he gets laid out; he may become a different fighter.

I see the parallels but I think Dawson is a more intelligent, focused fighter. Seems to be maturing as a fighter which is something Zab never has. Plus Dawson has had better trainers and seems to listen to his corner. I could be wrong but I think Dawson will have a more successful career....but not sure if he will have faced the level of competition that Zab has. :good

 

You were right with the first bit. I wouldnt place much blame on his dad

Dawson doesn't have the mental maturity of a 12 year old so no comparison.

 

Where would you rank the mental maturity of Zab Judah?

Chad chin is not the greatest but he has taken shots and fought on very well after those. tarver hit him with lefts that would have made a fighter with a truly shaky chin go down. he is suspect to flash knockdowns which is attributed to bad balance and getting caught off guard of course. But being the next Zab Judah would be a horrible assumption because he actually has a good corner that he listens to.

 

Zab is a loon. Dawson (so far) has a good (if fragile) head on his shoulders.
