Chad Dawson. Thoughts and Score for the Recent Johnson Fight.

7-5 for Johnson. Johnson's constant pressure was too much for Dawson the middle and late rounds. Dawson at times looked like he was going to fold up like a lawn chair while getting hammered by the Road Warrior.

 

Fair analysis by the original poster, and I do look forward to Dawson's next fight to see if he does apply what he should've learned from the Johnson fight. What I still don't understand is why some people still rank Dawson over Wlad on P4P lists, though.

 

I had it even, but Glen beat the dog-**** outta Dawson, he deserved nothing less than a draw.

 

I thought it was a draw but knew Dawson would get the decision.

 

You can when you do score by rounds, but you score by emotion. One big round with no KD is just a 10-9 round, it doesn't effect the rounds before OR after in scoring. It's the system we have, there's no giveback rounds, and no he kicked his ass last round, so what the hell we'll give you this round even though you lost it rounds.

ESB'rs always cry robbery in fights where the aggressor or guy who landed the harder shots loses a decision.

I had it 7-5 Johnson. Johnson was the aggressor, he took the fight to Dawson, landed the harder shots, and hurt Dawson pretty badly a couple of times. There were times when Dawson ran like a little *****.

This a case of the judges liking the flashier guy over the guy doing the dirty work and trying hard to make it a fight. But trying to make a fight in itself doesn't mean much if you aren't effective but like i said, Johnson landed the harder shots and even had Dawon hurt twice.

And just look at Johnson's face after the fight. Not one mark.

 

Maybe you're right. I only watched the fight live. I did pay close attention but i gave the fight to Johnson. I thought he won based on the things i said.
