Chad Dawson is returning very soon on June 29 supposedly. I'm not sure what more Chad can do, he's been so washed up. Don't think think he'll be able to stick around much longer.
I don't like the idea, but I don't know what other options he's got. I think he got wrapped up in some bad contracts so didn't net what you'd expect from boxing
That fight's up in boxrec. He's fighting some c level lightheavy named Quinton Rankin, with a 143 world ranking. He should get pass him, but he'll lose as soon as he steps up. He has no high level wins since outpointing Hopkins in 2012 and has been stopped 3 times since then. looks like an ill fated comeback.
I never understood why Dawson chose to drain himself down to fight Ward. I would have loved to have seen the fight take place @ 175 where Dawson was most comfortable.
His team let him the hell down on that one. It doesn't help that certain people on it had a stake in both Chad and Andre, leading to a conflict of interest. I know he said he could make 168 in a post fight interview, but people say crap all the time in interviews that isn't binding. Typically their teams look out for them. In that, and other key areas, Chad's sailed him down the river
After Ward KO'ed him, he wasn't the same. The Stevenson put the final nail in the coffin! Should stay retired!
