I see Dawson utilizing his speed advantage and reach to try and keep Johnson on the outside all fight long !

Johnson may have his moments occasionally but his pressure style will get him off balance too often vs Dawson who is quick on his feet.

A UD for Dawson but a strong effort by Johnson to make it interesting !!

Good test for Dawson, whom I believe will pass with flying colors.

This could be Glenn Johnson's last chance at a big fight.

Sadly it comes against the superb Bad Chad Dawson.

Glenn Johnson will ALWAYS give it 100% and against a guy like Dawson he'll have to give it his all because Chad does not stop. Glenn Johnson will have to look at the performance of Nate Campbell and try to use that as some sort of motivator against the younger stronger fighter in Dawson.

The difference between Dawson and Diaz is Dawson has the power to force Glenn Johnson to respect him.

    Got to go with Dawson.

I think Glens had his time and although he is the Holyfield of the light heavys, its Dawsons time now:bbb

I originally was gonna go with Dawson by UD but I'm thinking he's gonna TKO Johnson. Johnson leaves himself open alot because he throws so many punches and sometimes throws wide punches. Dawson is a great boxer. Very fast has pretty good underrated power and is very slick. I think he beats Johnson up and forces the ref to stop it.

johnson is still very fit despite being 39.
he will try to be in dawsons face/not giving dawson room to box/loading up on right hands but prepared to hit arms/body/temple/body/

dawson will want to keep it long/have room to get off /jab and hook of the jab/occasional straight left down the pipe to time johnsons many mistakes/

dawson wins simply by moving his legs/laterla movement/keep johnson of balance and not being able to get set/pop the jab /counterpunch johnson to he starts to think about is it worth it coming in/

johnson wins on workrate /outhustling an inexperienced dawson who is not prepared to grit his teeth when the going gets tough possibly or by landing shots and they having a visible effect on dawson and it lifts joihnsons confidence .

i see dawson moving left and right /jabbing/counterpunching /keeping johnson honest/setting an equally high workrate and ussing a good ring distance so that he can land and johnson cannot.

not trying for the ko/just boxing within himself picking his punches and getting out before johnson can respond.

x factor dawsons chin, johnson is average power only, requires many clean blows to get a man going, if dawson is hurt by a single johnson punch then he really will have to protect his chin in this one.

but i think dawson , if he has worked on his left hand which squares himself up a lot, will win a 116-112 u/d.

I am picking Dawson by TKO because he will just be too much for Johnson late in the fight when he will have nothing left and the ref will have to come in and just stop it as Dawson continues to connect.

Johnson will give it his best and he's a warrior but he's just too old to put up a good fight against Dawson.

I'm going to go on a limb here and take the road warrior by late round stoppage, I'll say 9th round. I'm not quite sold on Dawson yet, and Johnson will be one hell of a test for him IMO, he's like Hopkins in a sense, you can never really count this man out of any fight, his workrate and competition level over the last 7 or 8 years is top notch, and with his considerable power and pressure he might give Dawson the toughest fight of his career.

I've got to be real careful with this one. I would be happy as f*ck if Glen pulled this one off. Nothing against Chad, who's a great young talent, but the Road Warrior has paid his dues and then some.

Chad better be in the best shape of his life, and better have worked on either timing guys coming in, or working on the inside. Glen will be in his chest all night long.

Dawson is already in fantastic shape...in the 30 day weigh in, he weighed 175 1/2 while johnson was 186.
