I don't think it will be fun to watch, but it will surely be interresting to see the 2 best fighters (skillwise) from 160-200 go at it.
I've seen Ward fight 5 or 6 times (however many times he was on Showtime) and I don't think I have even seen him floor anybody, much less score a KO. Dawson has not scored a KO since 2007. I think the odds on this going the distance are pretty good
It depends how well Chad looks at the weight. I mean nobody expected Oscar De La Hoya to look as bad as he did at 147 before the weigh in.
Back when Floyd sr was training him everyone was talkin about it mite be some stuff on the net about it ..... Gym was packed and I mean packed ...and sr had to stop it .. That's how they had a falling out chad felt sr embarrassed him..
I'm not certain he wins, but I'm convinced Chad gives Ward his toughest fight so far. He also has one of the most underrated trainers in the game IMO.I firmly believe he wouldn't have lost to Pascal with Scully on board. If he pulls it off,I certainly won't be shocked, and I admit, for a long time I didn't like Chad. But I'm of the opinion I was wrong about him.
This fight will not be too interesting. Dawson doesn't score KOs and he is on the decline IMO. Ward is gonna beat him up and win about 9-3
thing is Pascals burst fightin would always give him problems but Ward doesnt have that kinda speed and power Pascal has, if Ward tries to box i think he could get beat convincingly as long as Dawson maintains a high workrate which i dont think he will do
I agree. Ward will pick off a slower Dawson, Dawson will then make it really scrappy. 12 rounder easy.
I'm really looking forward to this fight. Both fighters are young and hungry and eager to proof that they belong. It should be a good bout.
I do think it'll be a very good fight. I think Ward will be in spoiler mode though, which will take away from some of the action, but I don't see Ward stopping Dawson. Except maybe on cuts. Ward UD.
