all it does is make danny look worse, the fact that he avoided dawson like the plague. dont remember anyone saying chad was invincible, just that green did not have the balls to face him.... i stand by that thought. green will never fight dawson or any top 5 for that matter.
its great to be a diehard, loyal fan mate, but at least evaluate the situation with some objectivity otherwise you just look like an idiot.
having said that, i actually enjoy watching danny fight, just not against his latest opponents. if he fights a genuine top 5 i will be the first to order the ppv. i still believe he will fight cameron next...

 

i actually agree with you there. i give him some chance against dawson and some of the other top 5's.... the unfortunate thing is that neither of us will be proven right or wrong due to his hesitancy to face them

 

Thats the sad thing about Green, pre Mundine he would travel anywhere for peanuts for glory/title now since then its just a circus act he is now backed in a corner any thing other than a fight for a legit title is just proving he is a circus act these days, he cant follow the mundine path of jumping a few weight divsions he has to do it at LHW.

Even though Dawson didn't look himself and lost to Pascal yesterday i would bet anything that he would easily beat Danny Green at 175.

 

Danny Green is IRRELEVANT on the world scene. It is so plain and clear to the boxing world that Danny has no interest whatsoever in challenging the top dogs at any weight class, and that his sole reason for coming back was to fight over the hill pensioners and over matched journeyman. Dawson or Pascal would simply destroy Green.

 

thats the thing.he got something like $40000 for beyer 1,1/2 mill for Lucas a million for Beyer 2 but put yourself in his shoes he got over 2 million for Mundine why wouldnt you go after that again.i have no problem with that i just hate how he and his supporters believe he is on the level when hes just taking the Mundine road these days.lets hope the Briggs fiasco makes him get fair dinkum and fight a live body at the actual CW level.

Reckon Green will pretty much be forced to fight a live body. But hard to see the sense in him fighting someone at the cruiser limit, when he'll come in well under it.

More likely they'll pick a reasonable level opponent and stipulate catch-weight, whether the public like it or not.

Seems the IBO have no control over things as they have no mandatories etc. So it becomes a bit like holding the America's Cup in yatching once you hold an IBO title belt.

When Mundine wasnt occupying Greens mind, Green was a very followable guy. While noone should begrudge him for making some easy coin now and then, theres a way to do it without selling out or tainting the sport.
