Dawson will out box him and make it look easy. DM wasn't very good at dealing with pure boxers, that is why he ducked Roy Jones.

Really...it was Dawson's fault that Diaconu pulled out of the fight? How do you come by that one?

I'd have to actually say DM via a late rounds KO, fight even on the cards as Dawson hits the deck a few times late.

But Chad could still get better, we may not have seen his best yet.

Dawson outclassed Adamek, and you still expect him to get better? :huh

Oh yes, I do as well. He will learn better ring generalship, how to pace the fight how he wants. Little things that show up big in big fights.

DM by UD. Dawson is still a little on the raw edge but has been coming up nicely.

Dawson seems to be a bit overrated for me. His reputation is based on his - of course wonderful - performance against Adamek, who was also an overrated fighter (being in two close fights with Paul Briggs).

Therefore I think Dawson could be p4p champ later, but I am not sure yet. He has to beat Diaconu in a convincing way and unify belts.

I think Michalcewski could have stopped him late (9-11 rounds). If Adamek could send him down, Tiger could have done the same.... the difference would have been that Tiger wouldn't have left him escape afterwards. He was harder, faster, more accurate and stronger than Adamek.

Michalcewski KO 10 (on the cards something like 88-83, 87-84 for Dawson).

Diaconu is more overrated than Adamek ever was IMO. He has one good win and even that isn't spectacular by any means. Diaconu won't give Dawson anymore credibility than he already has. Unifying the titles would, if they would fight him. Woods might, Erdai has never shown the desire to fight anyone really. Hopkins is looking for big paydays.

Diaconu is not overrated. He just has a core of loyal fans (including me :happy). His win over Hoye was as spectacular as u can get. We all know that Chad is a better all around boxer but Diaconu is a mini-Tua. No one is safe with him.

I agree. And the fact that he said the fight wasn't anything spectacular is a joke. He dominated the number 2 ranked fighter on the WBC rankings inside 3 rounds..If thats not a impressive victory than I don't know what is.

He dominated Rico Hoye. Hoye's WBC ranking isn't really relevant as NO ONE puts stock in the ABC rankings, and everyone here knows that. I don't believe he was ranked at ALL by Ring. It wasn't a spectacular performance, perhaps a spectacular KO.

He IS overrated based on the post that I responded under. If Dawson is a bit overrated to him, and Adamek was overrated to him, then his statement that beating Diaconu would make Dawson legitimate is overrating Diaconu. He isn't good enough to solidify the place of Dawson. He isn't better than Adamek. If you think he is, you're overrating him.

It was a great fight for Diaconu. He showed GREAT power against the highly ranked WBC fighter, Hoye, and he dominated him with ease. It was a great fight for him, that he completely dominated. I don't know if tyour trying to dicredit him or not, but it seems like you are, and its dumb.

He is no where near overrated on these forums. Wake up. Diaconu isn't even liked on these forums, nor anywhere else really. Diaconu is no where near to be overrated.

I respect your opinion. But explain why you think that he isnt "good enough to solidify the place of Dawson".

I agree, he isn't better than Adamek in skillwise. But I think he has a lot of power in his punch than Adamek, and this is comming from a 100% Adamek supporter.

If Adamek can flush him in the late rounds v Dawson, A power puncher like Diaconu can flush him much earlier, and maybe even finish him. (not saying that he will but Im giving him a 70% chance that he will, his height is a disadvantage). Diaconu is no joke, it sickens me that you think he is. Adrian has the boxing techniques to beat Dawson. Accept my opinion or not.
