He doesn't have to have the ability of Roy. He's much bigger than Roy, so it will be much easier for him to put on the wieght and still be effective. It's ok though, I know that you're a part of the David Haye pole jocking society that has recently cropped up. Apparently he beats anyone via KO. This list includes(this is all from what has been posted on this site); Samuel Peter, Wlad Klitschko, prime Roy Jones Jr., prime Cruiser James Toney, and prime Muhammed Ali.

Anyone who says that haye knocks any of them out apart from possibly klitschko and maybe roy, though i doubt he catches prime roy is talking crap. However that doesn't change the fact that dawson hasn't got the chin of a toney, the size of a peter or the skill and chin of ali, his defence aint great and haye whatever you think off him has exceptional power and good speed, he knocks dawson out

Plain and simple, I can't assume that Dawson would be the same fighter after gaining 35-40 pounds. Who in history has moved up that much and still been just as good?

But I'll hypothesize for a second: While Dawson would have a speed advantage, Haye knows how to land the lead right too well. Combine that with Haye's power and Dawson's chin, and I think Haye by knockout is the best choice. Taking nothing away from Dawson, that kind of move up in weight is too much.

That's the thing though, if you look at Dawson he is quite muscled up already, if he's saying he can be a heavyweight it's just him saying what he wants to do, it isn't very realistic. Mayweather sr. said the same thing when he was training him, when asked about Chad at heavyweight he totally dismissed the idea saying Chad was too small.

    Haye by malicious assault
Dawson will have problems with Johnson...count on it I'm picking Johnson to pull the "upset"...this would be unfortunate as I'm hoping to see Diaconu crush the china-chinned, fur coat wearing ******

When have you seen him hurt? I've seen Haye hurt plenty of times.

Why do you make out Haye is just a banger? He's a very good boxer, too. You don't win World Amateur medals if you're just a 'banger'. The guy can flat out box. Haye was a far better amateur than Dawson ever was. He's much better grounded in that respect.

A serious fight between these two? Erm...Dawson's open to right hands. Haye has the hardest right hand in boxing (plus a very good boxing brain). You do the math.

Chad's only a decent puncher at LHW...Haye is a devastating puncher against fighters 30 pounds bigger than Chad is now. We know Haye hits hard enough to hurt Chad. I don't think Chad hits hard enough to hurt Haye, meaning Chad would need to fight a perfect fight just to make it the distance.

Chad also doesn't have any more room to put on 30 more pounds. He's at the right spot for him now, and I don't think he's a guy that projects well moving up in weight. Matched up against pure boxers at CW, maybe...but against a big punching Cruiser who can hit him?

    Terrible matchup.
