Chad Dawson vs Lucian Bute at 175, Who Wins?

Dawson 55-45 right now.

 

Bute got space to put Muscles if he want to move-up at 175lbs he could do it easely! But if he did it i don't think he could come back to SM . This said....

This fight could be really close! 2 greats slicks boxers with power who never face other good slick boxer! Chess match !

The only one who could give us a good answer it's Glenn Johnson since he spare with Bute for Andrade 2 and Miranda and the Road Warior already fought Dwason 2 times!

 

If Chad Dawson is motivated he should win this by UD. Much bigger with better skills imo.

Why 175? Wasn't Dawson talking he could make 168 a while back? I think it would put the fight on more even footing. Still, would give the edge to Dawson, but by less of a margin.

I was about to say why would Dawson go down to 68. But I thought about it if that was the weight that was nessesary to make a major payday, I think he would do it. Bute is the draw. :good

 

I don't know how serious he was, but there was talk a while back that Dawson thought about dropping to 168. The tourney could have put an end to those thoughts though.

 

Dawson would break Bute down, Bute will get frustrated, run out of steam and get TKO'ed late 11th or early 12th round.

 

Wow, poll results are a bit surprising. Bute is a very good fighter in his own right and the size difference would be minimal. I give the slight edge to Dawson but not much.

 

The key might be the 175 here. I think that is influencing the voting. That is why I brought up 168. Since Dawson was saying not to long back that he was thinking about dropping down I thought the 168 pound option should be in play. I think that would even up the vote quite a bit.

 

Yeah, i know i heard him say a couple of years ago stating that he could easily make 168. There's just not much of a size difference between 175 and 168 to begin with. It's not like the lower weights.

 

Maybe now would be a good time for Dawson to move down and fight Bute IF Pavlik decides to move up. That would really set up a nice fight after the tourney.... Not sure if HBO is interested in Dawson/Bute though......
