Chad Dawson vs Lucian Bute at 175, Who Wins?

i think the real fight at 168 or 175 is dawson vs. ward. now that fight i have trouble picking.

 

That would be good now, wouldn't it? That's the downside of the tourney though....

I agree with Floyd Mayweather when he said that Dawson is the best fighter in the world. Even after Floyd came back. I think that it would be an upset if anyone outside of a heavyweight beat Dawson. Bute would stand little chance. Nor would any of the other super middleweights. And really there is no one at 175 that SHOULD push him to hard. I think that he will dominate Pascal...Is that fight still ON??? I have not heard anything about it, now that Im thinking???

I'd favor Dawson via 7-5/8-4 decision. Good fight, but I don't think Bute has the power to check him.

I've always thought Kessler would be very dangerous for Chad, but that was prior to the Ward fight when he looked declined. Ward isn't aggressive enough to handle Dawson, IMO, although he's damn good.

The way to beat Dawson is to burrow into his chest and take him out of his comfort zone. Don't appear to be too many guys who can do that at the moment.

 

Pascal's promoter said yesterday they have a two date agreement with HBO to face Dawson. If Pascal is able to spar in March, the fight will be in June. If not, a couple months later.

 

I think even if almost everyone thinks Dawson will win, many of them think it will be a close fight. That explains the poll. I think Bute can win this fight. He has more power people think and can make Dawson go out of his comfort zone, because he's fast enough. Bute has more heart than Dawson too, and I see that as a major factor in that fight.

 

Ths would be a great fight, Dawson would take it at 175, but i would pick Bute at 168....

 

These two have somewhat similar styles. However, Chad is taller, longer, and faster. This would lead to Bute getting beat to the punch all night and losing a lopsided decision.

 

even though i would pick Dawson by UD at 175. i wouldn't say he is faster than Bute. Bute is very fast infact.

 

Bute isn't slow, but he's not faster than Dawson. He definately wouldn't faster than him at 175.

 

yeah i'm not saying dawson isn;'t fast. i guess i just don't think its a big enough difference to be a huge factor. would be a great test for Bute either way.

 

can somebody explain to me why chad dawson merits such lofty praise? glenn johnson beat him! pascal would beat him.
