And he only lost about 5-6 rounds (except Calzaghe fight) his entire pro career! His style seems to work quite well for him!;) Even if you like it or not..

Yeah I didnt even bring that up...Kessler is simply overrated based on what he has or I should say havent done in the ring...But he is European so he is getting thier full backing...Cazlaghe retired Hattons waxed for the second time in four fight, Haye is going down soon, they done have much left..Froch and Kessler...

You don't sound too bright, do you ?

What the **** have Kessler, Calzaghe, Hatton and Haye have in common that you would lump them (and their fans ) together ?

    I'm a Kessler fan.

    I WAS a Calzaghe fan.

I rooted for Tszyu over Hatton and was pissed off when Hatton and the ref teamed up to beat him. As a pac fan, I enjoyed Pac's most recent victory.

I've been a Klitschko fan (both of them) since before I ever heard of Haye, who will probably get a well deserved arse-kicking from Wlad.

My top six fighters alltime are black Americans and my top ten heavywts of all time has only one non-American in it, Lennox Lewis.

I really couldn't give a **** where they're from. I rooted for Taylor in his Froch fight.

You, on the other hand, like DannyRand, and Axe and numerous others on here, just don't like Euro fighters.

    Try 1 round!

Prior to the Calzaghe fight, Kessler had only ever lost 1 rounds on the scorecards. That was a round in Sydney against local hero Mundine and the round was scored 1-2 so an even round.

It is only the morons who haven't seen him fight who denigrate Kessler's skills as a boxer. He is one of the best and few would have a chance of beating him south of 175.

Dawson is way too strong and big for Kessler if they fight at a weight that is comfortable for him. If he was being hurt from body shots by Calzaghe, he would really be in trouble with Dawson who way more heavy handed and faster than Calzaghe on top of being a better body banger. The only way Kessler could win is by knockout, and he hasn't stopped any world class fighters in their peak yet. Going on resume and skill, Dawson clearly has the edge, some people are just blind. While Kessler is very skilled, anyone with eyes should be able to see how hes at a technical and speed disadvantage against Dawson.

Calzaghe would have had fun fighting Dawson who was beaten by Glen Johnson.

Compare their two best wins. I'm telling you, you all are comparing apples to oranges. I think that the mistake that the people who choose Kessler is making, is that they are comparing what Kessler did to tomato cans, to what Dawson did against elite level opposition like Johnson and Tarver.:bart

    Kessler: 94

    Dawson: 42

Devestating victory in boxing fans' minds.

I think it was around that many votes for Pavlik to beat Hopkins and for Oscar to beat Manny Pacquaio. Some people are just blind, and will not see until the fight actually happens. Taylor vs Froch is another one.

Only once in his career has Dawson fought at his best. Kessler is much more consistent, and it is consistency that wins fights not talent, not skills, not size, not strength, not punching power. By the way, it was only one body shot that hurt Kessler and that being a righthook which he wasn't expecting and didn't see. He shrugged it off and continued unaffected. I will say it again, Kessler should call out Dawson, it will be an easy win. Then he can demonstrate to the world what kind of ***** Dawson really is by knocking out Diaconu and Johnson. There is a reason Calzaghe wants to promote Kessler.

First and foremost, his consistency is not what wins him fights alone, in fact Kessler is one of the best technical boxers in the sport and his massive size and speed for a super middleweight is what gives him advantages over the other super middleweights, so revisit his career. He would not have those size advantages over Dawson is who is considerably bigger than Kessler, both taller/stronger and is IMO, sharper in every category.

Also, Kessler is fortunate that the referee pulled Calzaghe off of him, because there is no doubt that he was going to go down because Calzaghe was targeting that same spot again. Look at some of the body shots that Dawson hit( and hurt) Adamek and Tarver with, and you will see that his body punching is much more superior to Calzaghe's who was fighting with brittle hands. That fight was a technical mismatch, and to give Kessler even 4 rounds is pushing it. Do you think Calzaghe would beat Dawson by an average of 6 to 7 rounds? I don't see Calzaghe beating Dawson period but that's another story.
