he is dominating them. What I'm saying is that Dawson landing 2 out of 5 against a past prime Tarver or Kessler landing 5 out of 5 against some mandatory with a padded record... thats about even. And I'm saying you look at the speed of the combination, they're about even. Just cause Dawson threw his combination on a better fighter doesn't automatically mean he's faster. Just watch the clip, you will see Kessler is fast as hell.
But Danny, when you say 'we' you are kidding yourself if you think the majority thinks like you. You and San Refael etc. are a minority and most fans on ESB disagree with you: Kessler 68 votes to win Dawson 25 votes to win. It is not even close. ___________________________ Btw. Dawson is really really good. Rare talent and superfast with great attributes and abilities. Kessler however, is himself a very rare fighter having lost less than 10 rounds through-out his entire carreer. He masters every punch and fights cleverly. The only fight where he looked somewhat vulnerable was in the late stages of the Calzaghe fight. But honestly who looks great against Calzaghe? Dawson is a huge talent, but so is Kessler and if you can't see that then you need some more lesson in boxing abc.
Honestly, an old Tarver covering up. Even Ottke (and many other fighters) would have landed several 5 punch combinations on him (gloves or whereever). Tarver is still an ok fighter, but he is easy to land combinations on because he very often goes into pure defensive mode these days. No big feat at all.
Most of those that chose Dawsons left their reasons in printed form why dawson would win the fight. Most Kessler supporters didnt bother to leave an analysis, which leads me to conclude that Kessler simply won on popularity. They just cant explain how a guy who is stronger, faster, more fluid and dynamic who has fought better competition would lose to a guy who is smaller, slower, whos best combo is a simple 1-2 and who hasnt fought the same competition. I just watched his fight with Hausler and he threw the same 2 punches over and over and over and over again.
An ESB vote is not an accurate gauge on a how a fight will turn out. All those Pac-Hatton votes were pretty close, barely leaning in Pacs favor and look how that turned out.
[YT]m4QZpUieA60[/YT] Oh, I guess this is the fight Kessler "landed" his five punch combination. This **** is all kinds of ****ing funny. :rofl
Tarver has one of the best defenses in boxing. There is a reason he hasnt been hurt or every really knocked down. Comparing Tarver who was just world champion before Dawson beat him to a club fighter is insane. You can throw 5 punch combination on Tarver but his high guard is so tight, it takes skill to break through. Never mind the fact I watched the Hausler fight and the only combination Kessler through was the same 2 punches for 3 rounds, then when he knocked Hausler out he threw about 4 punches, and the only 1 that landed was an upper cut.
He is no Whitaker, but that dont mean that he sucks or that he couldnt beat Kessler, which I honestly think he would have a great shot at doing.
I know actually watching the ****ing fights just puts the nail in the coffin. The dude has shitty defense no upper body movement at all and he has two good punches the right uppercut and the overhand right that he throws constantly. And he was twice as big as the other dude that was I guarantee a blown up middle or light middle without even looking the **** up.
